  1. More than likely not. It's sounding like most of them might be staggered opening throughout the summer, or be installed in 2017. The park hasn't even made any formal announcements about them besides what Monty Jasper said in that LA Times article. This isn't a six flags park . . . lol. Looking towards 2017.
  2. September. . . I recently rode Manhattan express last week and would take it over ninja any day.
  3. Aside from being one of the roughest i've been on, ninja does have a really great layout.
  4. Let's not forget about the scrambler, sky tower, flying eagles, and wind sleeper. One can argue that the dark ride and merry go round (even though it's in camp snoopy) should also count. Honestly, the sky tower as a "flat ride"? A dark ride as a flat ride? I did said . . . outside of planet snoopy so I was referring to the main park as a good bit of adults dont go over there due to feeling the area is for kids. But I did forget about windseeker . . . which I would, personally, consider to be on the same level as the sky tower. Ok, how about this . . . 5 "thrilling" flat rides.
  5. 'As well as the main post that prompted this discussion . . .
  6. I feel accomplished now lol. I work in customs brokerage and reading that bill of laden made me feel I was back at work. Makes me wanna call some contacts at panalpina to see what else cedar fair brought in!
  7. Do the others have problems? Maybe they got a dud lol,
  8. Also worth noting from the article . . . So not only are they looking for flats, they are also considering coasters! What SBNO coasters are in japan that are in good shape???
  9. I'd much rather have this! But it does make you think. If Fury 325 was the start of the 50+ million 3 year investment, that means next year would be the 3rd year. Plus the new tax incentives from the SC side of things! I would say 5 million would be a lot to drop down at carowinds but with the way things are going, I think it may be more to come for 2017! Now lets get thru all the awesome stuff for 2016 first lol!
  10. I think this was already in plans. Right, the park has only 5 flat rides (outside of planet snoopy); a scrambler, a yo-yo, bumper cars, a 360 boat and an enterprise. To be a pretty big par, that's nothing to brag about lol..
  11. No problem. What sticks out to me is that they are searching HARD for these old rides! The article did mention the older ones are build sooo sound that if you take care of them, they will last forever. I wonder why newer rides aren't as reliable? I also never really thought of japan when I think of flat rides. Guess I need to search to see what type was big there!
  12. Here is a cedar fair discussion thread . . . HERE That it can probably go into. But yea, I was posted in the carowinds post.
  13. I think the two are gonna be ready for WOF this season. The top scan at carowinds is still under fury so I dont think they will be ready at carowinds this year. That will be one HELLUVAH of a 2017 expansion!
  14. This statement alone makes me want them to not get one so I can come back a laugh lol lol.
  15. I wouldn't blame him with those wait times, especially if he didn't use a fastpass for it. What wait times? I only see one wait time and that was for peter pan . . .
  16. You rode Small World but passed on the chance to ride a new, pretty cool roller coaster??? You did the hall of presidents but pass on the chance to ride a new, pretty cool roller coaster??? Dude . . .
  17. Wasn't wildcat a low capacity coaster?
  18. It is a weekend but its "winter" in orlando so it shouldn't be that busy. I would get there first thing in the mornings.
  19. I would recommend the FLA theme parks. Wouldn't have to do much driving and you'd spend less money.
  20. Well, schools are still in until the end of may/early june so it shouldn't be too bad. Yes, everyone will need the express . . . minus the 1 year old. I think you take them with you unless its a universal studios issued one, you would then take everything out and get a new one on the other side. Escape, yes. Forbidden is kinda a wild ride and the dementors could be quite frightening.
  21. And that was the reason giving for why Fury 325 had none. Now if they will take the ones off the current coasters that have them!
