  1. I guess they are counting the part where you come out of the loop after the second launch out of the top??? And how could Fahrenheit not be included?
  2. We just stayed at the Best Western Hummelstown out on 422 for 110 a night, @ 2 minute drive to the park. There are much "cheaper" places right on Chocolate Ave if you just search. If you are just looking for a place to crash for a few, then by all means go cheap. Avoid their resorts at all costs. I always look for something that offers a nice breakfast area as that saves a good bit of money when traveling in a group situation.
  3. The Aquatopia thing you keep referencing is really intriguing me. Just what in the hell is their purpose. Is it a ride that follows a track and if so what all do you actually see/experience while on it? I am thinking of the boats in the little lagoon at Dutch Wonderland.....Dragon's Lair.
  4. Spent the summer of 93 working at CP. Worked in the foods dept. mainly Breakers restaurant with various food stands throughout the park thrown in for extra hours. Definitely an experience to never be forgotten. The perks were exceptional as well!!
  5. And it could still be Wild World.........I am actually a fan of this park and have always had a good time there. I usually try to visit when the Ravens and Redskins have home games. Traffic is a bitch, but the park is dead!
  6. Oh my! I was just about to say the same damn thing...LOL.
  7. So let me understand this right......that little stretch of track with the tunnel is the only place any noise was coming from that pissed off the neighbors? WTF!!!! Also, how are they going to react when xthousand screaming football fans are roaring in a stadium just across the street and having wild tailgate parties?
  8. Like the woman with the season pass who was with her friends for "her" first ride on I believe Griffon. You can most definitely tell these are no "coaster enthusiasts".
  9. I seen that too. One shot of MF only had people in the front car. I wonder if they got early am preferential treatment??
  10. Even though they (Hershey) already got rid of their Sky Ride, a Busch Gardens triangular type layout would do wonders for Hershey!!!!!
  11. 1) As long as you prepurchase your ticket from the park it has a square with a P in the corner. They cross that out when you do the night before preview plan. I believe it is 2.5 hours prior to park closing.(Their website explains it really well) 2) Good day and if you are there for the whole day, after 6ish or so the place pretty well clears out. 3) This is something I've never felt the need to do at Hershey. You may notice the hordes of people lining the walkways, but for some reason the rides never have very long waits anyhow. Exception being a few choice coasters that would regardless of crowds any way.
  12. If you stay till they close you shouldn't have any problems. After 6 or so the place really thins out.
  13. If anyone is in the area right now....place is EMPTY!!!!!
  14. Great Bear Hersheypark......don't care what people say, this ride still kicks a$$!
  15. Just left for a rest at the hotel....place is PACKED!!!!! Many many tour/school buses!! Going back later after 6 like last night. By that time yesterday all the buses where gone.
  16. It actually almost felt as if a wheel was"chipped" so to say and it vibrated like a SOB.
  17. This awesomeness. My son says..."Dad this ride is awesome, can we stay on and go again!!!!" This was his first big coaster trip yesterday and he actually rode everything at the park including Sky Rush. I made him end the day in the dark on Lightning Racer and it was amazing as ever! From TPR Park index
  18. As of right now the weather is awesome. Does anyone else notice a "washboard" feeling when riding Sky Rush? I made my first laps on it yesterday and it pretty well shook the shit outta me. I was in wing seats each lap if that has a direct bearing on it. Don't get me wrong, the ride is freakin amazing, just really bumpy.....not something to marathon for an ERT session. Also, to anyone headed this way, after 6 or 7 the park this week has been basically empty. Most coasters never had full trains!!!!
  19. At the park now, actually hotel taking a break. Crowds are very minimal and wait times are pretty much all less than 10 minutes. Going back in tonight hoping it looks like last night when there were about 20 cars in the lot and NO BUSES!!!!! Using 2 day flex ticket tomorrow for Boardwalk as it looks to be even nicer weather wise.
  20. I heard today where KD is closed due to weather......CRAZY!!
  21. Yep, lots of hills and a lot of criss-crossing, as someone mentioned earlier. My pedometer said that I walked just under 10 miles when I was there on Sunday. Mind you, that was over the course of about 11 hours, but still... LMAO...at ECB my wife wore one of those and it registered just under 15 miles. I think Hershey may be one of the hardest walking parks next to BGW.
  22. USE MAP!!! For a first timer this park can be tricky. There is no real continuous loop and criss-crossing the park in any way shape or form can be tiresome. And by all means DON"T RUSH IT! If you are doing the night before and the whole next day you will have no problem getting in everything multiple times and getting to take in the scenery as well!!!
  23. Sorry to double post, but this just in..... SHARE this status so your friends don't miss out! GateKeeper will be featured on Good Morning America TOMORROW morning! See what they had to say about the tallest, fastest and longest wing coaster in the WORLD. Check your local listings and set your DVR!
  24. Just got this in a facebook post....... Attention coaster riders- we need 50 people for a travel channel film shoot at HersheyPark on Fahrenheit on Wednesday June 5th from 7am to 10am. We will take the first 50 that rsvp. Please send an email with your name to kburrows@HersheyPA.com, if you could please cc me on the email just so I know where we stand with people. My email is bwatts@aceonline.org. This is for any one wishing to ride Fahrenheit over and over, you do not need to be an ace member like the last film shoot. Here is additional information Wardrobe – Please no logos (ACE logo is okay), neon colors or shirts with tight patterns on them. Eat breakfast beforehand and bring water. Please enter the Park via Service Center Road (look for the large white sign with blue lettering "Hersheypark Employees and Deliveries Only") and ask the guard to direct you to Employee Parking. Please plan to ride Fahrenheit multiple times. The shoot will conclude at 9:50 a.m. as the park opens to the public at 10 a.m. and we must clear the ride area before the public enters the Park. At that time, a Hersheypark team member will escort you to the Employee Gate to exit the Park and return to your car.
