  2. well i just got back from orlando a few weeks back so now i have a few inverts to compare. 1 Nemesis (Alton Towers) 2 Montu (BGA) 3 DD fire (IOA) 4 DD ice (IOA)
  3. hey nice tr. i was at Seaworld on that same day with my wife and 2 kids. was a brilliant day out. Kraken was walk on pretty much all day except around 9pm when it had broken down ;( its funny to see but i have almost the same set of photos as you do. one thing i would recommend is the Shamu rocks evening buffet at the cove restaurant (i think that what it was called) good value, great food and free Bud. i look forward to more of your reports, i guess they may contain similar photos to what i have.
  4. just 2 days before i set off to orlando to visit Disney and Universal. Does anyone have any advice on disney tickets? wheres best to purchase them from i.e wall mart, disney ticket booths etc etc. I will probably go for something like a 4 day hopper, not too fussed with including water parks and since i wont be going back to orlando relatively soon the non expire option seems to be an added expense. thanks in advance.
  5. Hi guys, just a few more weeks before i set off to orlando. would appreciate if anyone has any good park tips, or general advice of any description. cheers.

  7. with regards to trip planning etc, I will be visiting Orlando area next June 2008. I would appreciate if anyone reading this has any info on what's best to do about buying tickets for the major parks. I have been told to pre purchase tickets before I leave the UK. my initial plans are to do Disney maybe on a 14 day pass, then visit universal for a couple of days somewhere in between. sea world for the kids I guess is a must and I would love to get to bush gardens possibly for a day or 2. after a bit of research Disney's ultimate 14 day pass and the 5 park universal pass look a good bet, but at around £800 or approx $1600 for 2 adults and 1 child would I be paying to much. thanks in advance and if anyone has any other general advice on where to go etc, places to eat, things to see. even advice on planning your day all info would be much appreciated. .

  10. this was shown on one of the uk satellite channels just last week. it was hyped up as a race to build the best woody in 2006. the show ended with construction still taking place so there was no pov footage etc.
  11. Awesome description. I will be taking my son to Gulliver's within the next few weeks, will be sure to check out your handy work. top job.
  12. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_east/6203379.stm To be honest this place deserves to be demolished, its in such a dismal state these days. It is a shame whoever owned this place let it become such a mess. Probbaly my 1st credits were in this local fairground. .
  13. For the sake of £12 it’s probably worth your while buying a wrist band. www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/newsdetail.php?id=1113
  14. one credit i doubt many if anyone will get, to bad.
  15. Another BPB classic item for sale, I am guessing they need the cash to hire a lorry to transport the slc from southport.. Link.
  16. got to say this is the coaster i am looking forward to most in 2007, however due to cash and geographical location i have no chance of riding this in the comeing year........s. going to have to settle for some video ;(
  17. I was at BPB last weekend and managed to take a few quick photos of the log flume area. don't know if there of any interest. also as a side note, while riding Nash, I spotted a load of blue colour tubular supports just behind the 1st turn around. Maybe they have been there for awhile. but they do look a similar shape and colour to Tramatizer's supports. alas no photos of this.
  18. Apparently Rhyl Ocean Beach in N, Wales is earmarked for a supermarket development. to be honest I was there a few weeks back and the place is in such a state. it probably needs to be put out of its misery. .
  19. Both Gullivers and camelot are great parks if ya got young children, my son loves em both, however i feel there isnt an awful lot of good stuff for the older more mature ride enthusiast like we have here if it came to a choice for a side trip it would have to be camelot, at least they got a maur shone spinner with the same track layout as the 1 they building in DLP but without the extended bits, if ya know what i mean. .
  20. Gutted i took my 3 year old son there earlier this year and he had a blast, now he wants to go every week. any advice on how i can tell him there gona close it. He's so gonna miss the coin operated trains, and the caterpillar, lol he loved em,
  21. Does Blackpool pleasure beach, zipper dipper count?
  22. lol, i just emailed the park and asked if they could pan the camera a lil to the right so we can see whats happening, what are the chances
  23. I was at the park in March this year one thing I can only warn you about is keep your personal possessions safe. My wife had her purse stolen on the pirates of the Caribbean ride, its a dark ride with a long queue in some dark tunnels. Luckily she only had here credit card swiped and about £20 cash, and funnily enough someone found the purse and handed it in to security, they even left here regular bank debit cards in there, anyway after cancelling all the cards the rest of the day was fine. apart from that we had a great time with very minimal queue times. got to hand it to the Disney management/customer service they were fantastic and helped so much, they even sent an English security guard to pick us up and take us to city hall. As for rides, I would agree do peter pan 1st thing, and then just meander your way around, big thunder mountain had the longest queue of the day at about 45 mins, Indian Jones was about 20 mins and space mountain the same.
  24. I would suggest Blackpool as a definite place to visit, Southport and the legendary fun house is only about 30 mins away. could easily do both in 1 day, also Southport has regular Friday late night opening specials, for about £5.00, great value. otherwise book online £10, compared to £ 18 at the gate for a day wristband. 2nd choice would have to be Alton towers, in terms of travelling, it is about 2-3 hours drive south from Blackpool, Both parks are quite close to Manchester also, so consider flying there instead of London
  25. Thanks Gsus, that is some great info, will certainly check out those web links, thanks again.
