  1. Great TR--other than the fact that you got fooled by the reverse order thing. Oh well, you'll know better next time. I agree about Splash Battles, in general (though I haven't been on that particular one). The "battle" is too strongly weighted in favor of those on the shore.
  2. Nice detail! I really like how you used the pretzel forms to your advantage. I hope it's not overlooked because it's "small."
  3. Subject title: Howard Stern a Coaster fan? Actual post: Howard claims he hates and is afraid of them. By jove, I've solved it! /The answer is, "No."
  4. "Just about"? Hrm. So, if I were a film buff, would I be required to like every movie? /Son of Beast sucked with a loop. //Don't see any reason to ride it without one.
  5. ^ So much for reverse psychology. Sorry about using the same park twice in a row. I'm just not on my home computer, and that's the only park I have pictures of at the moment. Your turn, DBru.
  6. ^ Never even been. And now for some reverse psychology....
  7. ^ Another reason this thread never works right. Why even play if you're not going to play? /I don't like to catch the ball, I just like to throw it.
  8. Exactly. Thanks for looking into it. I appreciate it.
  9. Some great photos there. Thank you so much for sharing them!
  10. Nope, nature takes care of it. I hope you like spiders....
  11. This might be my favorite post ever. Realistically, though, anyone dorky enough to count "credits" probably wouldn't be stuck with just that one ride for very long. And even if they were, they'd probably totally get off on saying their count was "224.5" or whatever. I know I would.
  12. Just read about this on Screamscape. Lance seems to think this isn't for Seasame Street, but I'm not quite sure why he thinks that. To which my obvious thought would be: Okay then, they're going to put in Seasame Street as a whole new area and keep Land of the Dragons, too. Yet he leaps right to the idea of a whole new (adult) coaster, and I'm not sure why. /Wishful thinking, perhaps?
  13. Hello, awesome mods and admins. I'm wondering if there's a way--or might someday be a way--to provide links to my photo trip reports somewhere in my profile. Sometimes I like to show these things off to people, or even just review my own brilliance. ( ) And it takes some time to search for each one of them individually. I toyed with filling the "Interests" section with them, but that doesn't seem to want to display URLs as links. Obviously, something that automatically displays just my photo TR's (as opposed to the feature which already displays all my posts) would be ideal, but I have no idea how technically feasible that is. In any case, I don't mind setting up all the links myself, I just need a place in my profile to do it. Any thoughts? Am I even making sense?
  14. Pretty sure that's USH. Regardless, it's actually andy_e219's turn. So let's let him go before we post anything else.
  15. Thanks for this TR. I'm really interested in that tour.
  16. Yup I think so. Have you successfully conquered the lift hill, you own a new credit. I disagree. How could you even hold a conversation about the ride? Yeah, that first drop was great. The ending? Uh.... I say no!
  17. ^ Hard to say. Some parks would probably be lost, while others would get scooped up by other park chains or new investors.
  18. Normally, I would scoff at such an idea as mere wishful thinking. But...Intamin double-spined (presumably extra strong) track...one of Cedar Fair's bigger parks, whose closest competition already has a B&M hyper...maybe so. Good theory (even if it doesn't pan out).
  19. ^ I see a slight flaw in your theory, moosh. Carowinds? /Yeah, total guess based entirely on the hints.
  20. ^Um...Leavenworth state prison? /And I thought mine was hard.
  21. I have not. Just as SFKK was too close to Holiday World for me to have gotten to it before now, SFA is too close to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Also, I'm inherently reluctant to visit Six Flags parks in general, which doesn't help much. Still, I'm slowly convincing myself that it's possible for me to have a good time at a Six Flags, as long as I set my expectations low enough. Wow, the Title Fairy really wanged you good.
  22. Well, the road in front of the park looks about the same.
  23. Well, I agree with you that too many Americans are overly sensitive about this sort of thing. But, having said that, what are you going to do? I guess you could try to sue, if it's really that big a deal to you. I mean, I do agree with you. But most of the GP probably doesn't--so I doubt you're going to win this one, to be honest. /Take it in the shorts. //And take your business elsewhere.
  24. You know, this is an interesting point. Everyone knows I'm in the Six Flags Hater camp--but, honestly, I wouldn't want any of the parks to go away. What I would like to see--and this isn't just Six Flags--is more parks going back to being independent (or at least smaller chains). That's probably not realistic. But, still, is there anything inherently good about "Six Flags" that you would miss if all the parks magically got sold to different individuals?
