  1. Wild One at Six Flags America. Also wasn't a fan of the trims on i305's first drop, but at least it's not there anymore.
  2. I might hit up SFA opening weekend just to start off the season, so my first ride might be Roar since it's usually been the first ride I go on there
  3. Mine would be 1)Kumba 2)Montu 3)Bizarro (SFNE). Others are, Manta, Cheetah Hunt, Verbolten Dragon Challenge. This was a great year for getting new credits for me.
  4. I'm not even getting NL2 and I'm excited for it. I never did have the time nor proper computer for NL. However, I'm still looking forward to see other's creations, Hopefully I'll get to own NL2 sometime.
  5. Do you know where the third one would have been located? The DC/Baltimore area. If only this ever happened....
  6. 21 Years old and I believe I was 5 or 6 when I went on my first roller coaster. I'm almost positive that roller coaster was the Phoenix at Knoebels. Despite having an obsession with roller coasters before I can remember, it wasn't until I was in my teens when I started to seriously start riding them.
  7. I've been on two standups, Apocalypse and Shockwave. Apocalypse was probably the worst B&M I've experienced and Shockwave is the only roller coaster ever to leave a bruise on me. So it's safe to say I'm not a fan of standups!
  8. Sadly, Trailblazer is the only Mine train I've been on.
  9. ^I don't hate Anaconda either, there's only one bad transition on the ride, for me at least. I'd love to see the Anaconda get new trains too as someone mentioned, it would definitely improve the ride.
  10. Same thing happened to me back in March, it was the only part of the ride I actually got soaked.
  11. ^Speaking of scraped theming, Afterburner at Carowinds was originally gonna be a Godzilla themed ride. Xpress at Walibi Holland was also supposed to be themed after the Riddler. You can see some of the green paint on the rails.
  12. Ha! Imagine if they made Mantis to do both like this. http://rcdb.com/1219.htm Doubt it would ever happen. I'm going to agree with this one. They just look so poorly designed and has some of the most awkward looking transitions that I've seen on any roller coaster.
  13. Does anyone know if Voodoo Drop will get repainted as well?
  14. I think it looks pretty good, I thought the blue on it before was too faded.
  15. This! If you bring the right people on the ride, it can easily be the best ride in the park.
  16. I think SFA does the same with Mind Eraser. Is this a required for SLC coasters or just a park policies?
  17. This is why Alpengeist is my favorite invert, the terrain and theming makes a big difference with this ride. Great TR, glad you enjoyed BGW. I think it's becoming rare to find a TR on this park with Mach Tower open.
  18. One difference I've noticed in Arrow and Vekomas are the sound of their lifts. Arrow has always had a that distinct sound of the anti-roll backs and while some Vekoma's sound like that, I've noticed the sound of a motor the top of the lift on their coasters (Like on SLCs). A majority of Vekoma's lifts are quiet too which I find surprising since they both use the same tracks and most of the times, same trains. Maybe Vekoma has a different anti-roll back system for their rides. Arrow lift hill: Vekoma lift hill:
  19. It would be awesome if it turned out like this. Power Plant is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore, and it would be cool if they added something like Rams Head Live. But considering they already have Hershey stadium, it would be out of the question. Regardless I'd like to see what comes out of this project.
  20. ^^ I'll take a Boomerang over that any day. Before Batwing, SFA was originally going to get Georgia Scorcher. Twelve years later, we get Apocalypse.
  21. I also heard the reason why it was removed from the park in China was that park guests found the ride to scary and no one ever rode it. I think there was a plaque that said something like that when the ride was at Kentucky Kingdom.
  22. BGW in 2010. The day my friends and I went, they were calling for scattered thunderstorms and heavy rain through out the day. It was just cloudy the first two hours we were there, but it wasn't till we got on Alpengeist when it started to rain a little bit. Half way up the lift hill it started down pouring like crazy, making it one of them most memorable rides I've had on any roller coaster. Nobody got off that train dry.
  23. And the TR gets better, great pictures! I'd really like to do the Roller Coasters Insider tour BGW does, it seems like a lot of fun. I'm also glad to see someone who doesn't hate the Anaconda. Yeah it's pretty slow after the MCBR in addition to the weird transitions, but I don't find the ride as rough as people make it out to be. Hopefully the ride will get more than a paint job for KD's 40th Anniversary and make the ride more enjoyable to others.
  24. I hate stand-up roller coasters, never did like the concepts of them.
