  1. Thanks for the TR, Chuck. Makes me more excited for next weekend as I'll have two days to enjoy Howl-O-Scream.
  2. Looks like I'll be visiting Kings Dominion next month.
  3. Sounds interesting. I'd love to see Kings Dominion bring back some nostalgia to the park. I'm also glad to see Anaconda is getting some attention from the park. The ride could use some TLC.
  4. Rock N' Roller Coaster at DHS (my first upside down roller coaster too), and Intimidator 305.
  5. Not including dive machines (I've been on both of Busch Gardens'), I've only ridden three floorless coasters. Dominator, Kraken, and Batman The Dark Knight. Kraken is probably my favorite one, but Dominator is pretty close. BTDK deserves an honorable mention too. For a coaster that size, it's pretty fun.
  6. With Six Flags America being my home park, either Superman, Joker's Jinx or Wild One.
  7. Busch Gardens Williamsburg in mid-late September.
  8. I'd like to add Apocalypse to the list as well. I wonder if any of those queues even fill up during holidays.
  9. Wow I had no idea Lake Charles was that shallow. Thanks for sharing those! ^That's good to hear. I'm trying go to Kings Dominion sometime in October and get some night rides on i305. Hopefully everything goes to plan and opens up soon.
  10. So my friends and I finally got to visit SFA yesterday. I must say that ride operations haven't changed much since my last visit in 06 or 07 (Slow ride ops), and they were slacking keeping their restaurants clean. The Johnny Rockets next to the Looney Toons section was pretty gross. But we didn't let any of that ruin our day. We got to ride every single roller coaster, thanks to the light crowds. Every ride except for Joker's Jinx and Wild One were running one train which I thought was pretty weird. Roar-Rough but still a fun. First drop is great in the back seat. Apocalypse-It's a shame the park couldn't get a better roller coaster, but it's better than nothing. Had quite a bit of head banging. Wild One-Good to see this ride still kicks major ass, but to bad it had the slowest ride ops. With two trains running, you'd think dispatch would be much faster. Mind Eraser-Not as bad as a lot of people say it is. But like UrbanLegend mentioned, the restrains smelt pretty bad. Joker's Jinx-Still of one the best coasters in the park. Two train operation and had almost no one in line every time we got on. Superman-Best ride in the park (Obviously). They actually had a great crew working too. Batwing-I found it an ok ride but I can see why Vekoma only made three of these. Overall it was good day. I might come back for Fright Fest soon.
  11. If you think that ride is to compact for a B&M, you should see Dæmonen at Tivoli Gardens. rcdb.com/2504.htm?p=0
  12. I haven't been to SFA in about six or seven years, but my friends and I are visiting this Sunday to give it another shot. While my past experiences haven't been "terrible", they weren't exactly great either. It seems like the park has improved since last year, but we'll find out for ourselves. On that note, how should crowds be this Sunday? I understand school opened for most (if not all) of MD, so I suspect crowds should be ok in the afternoon/evening?
  13. Inverts and hypers have been my favorites. And while Manta is the only Flyer I've been on, I found the ride very enjoyable. I'd like to see more B&M flyers.
  14. My very first ride on i305 at KD (Oct. 2010), I was in the front row of the last car. As we went over the third airtime hill a camera flew out of someone's pocket and floated in midair in front of me. It was pretty cool looking too. On the brake run before the station, the guy behind me said "Who's ever camera that was.....I almost saved it but I didn't...sorry". Apparently he almost caught it but it slipped through his hands. Next thing I remember hearing was someone saying "Don't worry I work at Best Buys, I got you on that camera". I thought it was pretty funny.
  15. Definitely looking forward to Howl-O-Scream this year. I found out I'll be there for two days so thats enough to check out everything. As for putting another coaster in Drachen Fire's spot, that would be awesome and I'd love to see it happen. I wouldn't mind seeing a GCI or RMC in that area.
  16. So I'm planning on visiting SFA sometime soon and I haven't been in about six or seven years. I might be visiting on a Sunday since they're my days off of work. How are the crowds on Sundays around this time of the year?
  17. Thanks Chuck. Anything good I should check out for Howl-O-Scream this year?
  18. ^Agreed. They can do a lot with all that land back there. So I found out today that I'm going to be visiting Busch Gardens on the 20th of September (Friday), any idea how the crowds will be from the morning to evening?
  19. Looks like an awesome ride and without a doubt and a good addition to KI. I do like how B&M decided to bring back the whole loop around the lift hill element. First on an invert too I believe. Although I'm not to sure about the restrains. I prefer the original ones.
  20. Now that would be a maze worth going through.
  21. Nowhere Fast-Incubus
