  1. ^ I am currently 50 minutes away from Pittsburgh, at Slippery Rock University, and I have no time to go to fear fest due to schoolwork and such.
  2. speaking about the Ultimate, isn't that longer than the beast (even if its steel, it doesn't really matter as its designed to the style of a woodie). Yes, it is, but so are a few other steel coasters as well. The Beast is the longest woodie in the world, not the longest coaster, period. Regarding the question, yes, of course another one will eventually be built. The real question is how soon?
  3. They'll get one, probably not in 2008, though. My guess is 2010 at the earliest, or when the Mon Expressway is finished.
  4. A new dark ride would be cool, or maybe it's another flat ride.
  5. I need AHG help. I have been trying for hours to get it to work, but I have made no progress, whatsoever. I do everything the directions tell me, but the track still comes out all bumpy and twisted. I am really getting frustrated.

  7. I rode SwingShot on August 17th, only a week after TPR was there and I thought it was very short compared to last year. I only got one maximum swing each way, then the ride slowed down and the cycle stopped.
  8. Arrow suspended trains would, no doubt, be your best seller.
  9. ^ When it comes to installing coasters, 10 years really isn't that much. A lot of parks only install one coaster every 10 years, if that. Look at Kennywood. The contract could be for maybe 30 years, or more, who knows.
  10. I know nothing about the specs of the rides. I just know that Kennywood's swing has a *much* better cycle. Not this year. Last year the cycle was much longer than Skyhawk's, but this year it was surprisingly short, and the same as Skyhawk's.
  11. ^ I doubt it considering they have 3 GCI woodies and a classic woodie. This will probably be a steel coaster. But you never know.
  12. ^^ You mean Wiener Looping?
  13. Didn't Tower of Terror at Gold Reef City pull a LOT of Gs before it was shut down for rehab in 2005? Did that ever reopen?
  14. Heck, I like the park. I just don't think it's #1, or even close to being the best. And you shouldn't downplay the CP fanboy factor. That alone is a serious detriment to the park. You know if CP was run by Busch with Disney-level hotels, it unquestionably would be #1. The location is great. They just do some goofy things. I never said it wouldn't be number one, nor did I say there was no such thing as CP fanboys. I am just sick and tired of people automatically being called a fanboy when they say one sentence defending a park.
  15. ^ Yeah, I hear you. I am a member of a few video game forums as well, and, the moment someone says one sentence defending a console, they are automatically a fanboy. Defending a park does not mean someone is a fanboy, they just simply like the park.
  16. ^ I hope so because I will be going there next year and was really hoping to ride it. I don't think they've given up on it yet because why would they spend money on new track for Batman if it will never be used?
  17. Screamscape says that a "spy" has confirmed taht Chiller will, in fact, be removed next season. "A Screamscape spy reported in with a quick burst transmission confirming that not only will Chiller be removed, but apparently they’ve already begun the process of stripping the internal systems. At this rate it’s expected that the ride pieces could start to come down before the end of this season."
  18. Best: When I went to SFMM, all of the coasters (except Flashback, of course) were open and ran all day with no problems. Even the sky tower was open. Worst: Going to CP this year on physics day.
  19. Any idea when they plan to put them online for purchase? I can't wait to buy these!
  20. Maverick is pretty common, though, and has been used for a lot of things throughout the past. Isn't MaXair a hairspray or something?
  21. Hmm, now that you mention it, you're right. Seems as if they only use it on inverts now. Led Zeppelin doesn't have one.
  22. ^ I don't think that way. I go to parks for the thrills. I couldn't care less about shows (I'll go down to my local theatre if I want to see a show), theming, atmosphere, food (I'll go to a nice restaurant if I want good food), etc. I'd take Scream! at SFMM over any Disney coaster, any day.
  23. So that's now 10 years in a row for CP, right? I think CP should build something big to celebrate.
  24. I hate hearing that kind of stuff. Poor Blue Streak. Vandalize anything but a coaster.
