Hey guys, just wondering we're coming over from Ireland and we already have our Halloween Horror Nights tickets booked but we are not sure how the event works. We're told it starts at half 6 but park opening hours say they close at 7! We're really looking forward to it as we've never seen anything like it.

Wow here's hoping for a Pandora's box after watching that youtube clip but I have a feeling it will be Harry Potter esque. -
MM I read somewhere that Tizona ahd to be moved becuase the area of land right beside it was owned by a group that wanted to build a hotle there just before the recccesion hit. The plans were all in place for the coaster to be moved and it had started but the group pulled out and the hotel I believe is on hold until numbers pick up. The hotel may be part of the theme park i'm not too sure. It makes sense to close that part of the park becuase Tizona was the only ride there. The was a theatre there where they had one show an evening so I suppose it wasnt hard to cancel it. Makes sense to close the "land" to save money and hopefully build new attractions that are quieter to allow the hotel to be built in the future.

Disneyland Paris (DLP) Discussion Thread
neovortex2k replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ok few things... 1. Am I the only person who likes the movie park? I think it's great. It was bad before Crush and Tower of Terror but since then and the addition of Toystory I think its great. I go every year. Remeber if you factor in the queue times for all the rides there is enough to do all in one day. If there was more i'd say you'd have to not do some stuff. I prefer parks that take one day than multiple visits to do everything but in saying that I do love re rides! 2. Fastpass on Crush would never work becasue of it's low capacity the general queue would be huge then. I'd ignore the wait time suggestion on this one. I've queued several times in all the queue lines they have to offer on crush from the entrance turnstil and it only takes 45 minutes. Also when bording if you have the option boare the shell goin backwards. This offers the best sensation when goining down the first drop. 3. I think it's too cold for a water park or water ride. Disney aims for all year round opening and it would be too cold september to april for water. I doubt indoor will ever fly. 4. As a European I dont think the marvel idea will work. When growing up marvel was very samll in our entertainment bracket. It didnt hit our mainstream until the big movie names so I would say a lot of Europeans wouldnt get it. (before anyone gives out i'm including every country in Europe not just the west where we would know marvel more than the east). Whereas Disney is global and had movies out through my childhood and would recognise a Disney brand moreso than if they slapped their name on marvel. 5. As some else stated I think this is provisonal planning for the future so they can make a 20 year plan not something that will start building next year. I'm sure the movie studios will expand more but i think it's great already. And remember we have the retheme of Star Tours in 2012 so i'd say they have a new ride opeining somewhere in either park to buffer that closing. -
It looks cool! I'm so bummed after soent $1500 on a three week trip to Orlando i'm gonna miss all this by one week! I would have loved to gone to the good bye party and happily paid the money. Also the disney website says Star Tours isn't closed till sept 8th. Does anyonwe know which is correct Sept 8th or August 14th?

Thanks for the thoughts guys. My dads friend who used to work as a photographer for our countries national paper said i shouldnt have any problem as I shot the video I have the user rights and as there is no people/music/logos in the video it should be perfectly fine for copyright law. anyhow here's a link to the video www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKbgoRaJKuI

Hey guys Just wondering if anybody has come across this and has any advice. I shot a video of the Rock N Rollercoaster Launch with the lights on in Paris. I've posted the video on Youtube and becasue its had so many hits they've offered me to join their Partnership Programme to make money off the video. But you have to be the content owner and have full rights and it cant be copyright and all that stuff. Now the question is I shot the video so do I own the rights to it or is it copyright or anything like that. There is no one in the video. Any comments would be appriciated.

Can't wait to see this ride open! I love all the hype and the marketing. I know the "restrictions" will change. Does anyone not think this is just a hyped and supped up ghost train??!! -
1. What are your initial thoughts? Sounds good. I like the idea if it is done properly, but fair play to you guys for consulting with the members of the site. Great first move. 2. Can you think of anything else we could be offering? Perhaps a discount on an item of clothing with a pic of the members at a coaster event for premium members??!! 3. Is this something that interests you? Yes I would be very interested to join even though a lot of the perks would not apply to me 4. Why would you NOT be interested in this? I can not avail of a lot of the perks 5. Any additional feedback you can give us based on the information you see here. Hope it works out well and doesnt rip the site into two different classes cause this really is a great community and would hate to see anything bad happen to it. P.S. i would still use the normal thread as much as i do even with the premium forum. Good luck guys

I love Indiana Jones! It's not up there like with Sheikra or anythin but i love the openess and vulnerability and I think you feel more of the raw speed than on like BTM. The themeing is brill aswell the way the have the loop cleverly disguised. Genius. -

I do agree the first one is defo genuine and that the other two are the work of fans possibly however I do feel the description of the coaster in the last video has the same elements that I listed in a previous post which I read from a document on the screamscape website. I know they are not the most reliable but it came from a bunch of planning app papers. will try to find it again. So exciting. -

Ok guys i'm interested to see what you think about this I've been snooping around online and think i've found some very interesting linking stuff to the new coaster. So You have Henry the Hound. One of the parks mascot's who wasn't used anymore some years ago. There is this video that appeared on the net on Saturday Containing text Very interesting. But then I came across this video which says the ride will be called Snorlix who is the dragon and a mascot of Alton Towers. I have a fuuny feeling the video is right as it mentions the beast but I feel it could be to do with the Dog as he is no longer a mascot. And then there is this video that gives me goose bumps as it suggest 3 different out comes to the ride when it goes into the indoor section a little like and stops dead infront of a barrier and switches direction like Expidtion everst and a better revenge of the mummy where duringthe stopit'll have special effect to terrify you as I feel this ride will mess with people pyschololgically like mentioned a little above in this topic. then *****Enter the world first***** You can either exit the tunnel launched forwards, backwards or the track will tilt into an underground section. Who knows which way you may exit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cDQ9V93KJY It sounds amazing! -
Disneyland Paris Photo Trip with rare photos(resized)

Yeah the first two days all the lights were on when you went into the main coaster building but on the following two days some of them were not on. Especially the big red rings that you pass through during hte ride. I dont remember there being any smoke at all inside.
