Calling all Pixelcaster whores (I know I'm not the only one). The Fury 325 cam has made it's triumphant return. -

Yeah but the lines are really abbreviated so it's not a big deal. Maverick is the only one where you'll wait more than 15 minutes ever unless of course you decide to wait for row 1 on Millennium Force or Dragster. -

Thanks! What's the VR setup on Goliath? Is there a VR and non-VR line? Do you just decide when you get to the station? I haven't ridden it so I'd like to ride it without the VR at first. Then again I know you didn't get to ride so I'm not sure if you could tell just by walking by the queue. -

Nah, he said "late June". It'll pull a Stinger and be closed for the season by then. -

Yeah if 20 minutes is your limit you'll need Fastlane. I find I'm more patient than most in regards to queue lines. Anything under an hour is manageable for me, and I'd wait more for rides like Millennium Force and Maverick, especially if I can mix in a few 5 minute waits like Gemeni and Power Tower along the way. -

Two days without Fastlane is enough to ride everything. You'll have more fun with fastlane but it's not a requirement. As far as Hotels. If you're going the cheap route Motel 6 Sandusky / Milan is pretty nice by Motel 6 standards. -

Expect to leave with a new favorite park and possibly diabetes. As far as lines it will be very manageable. Have a great time! Also, take note of the handy dandy Pierogie map -

Good, people like that don't deserve to have fun. I hope they enjoy Dorney -

Agreed. Despite the massive crowds we still had a blast on Opening Day. -

If you don't have Early Entry or Fastlane you're sort of screwed but I'd say Maverick or Dragster first would be a good bet. Avoid the front of the park for the first half of the day. -

Did anyone go on opening weekend? We were thinking about visiting but wanted to see if Vampire was up and running (backwards I assume...ugh) and how awful the ops are with the VR headsets on Goliath. -

Iron Dragon's queue is ridiculously short so it overflows constantly. It's still a very manageable wait. -
So no early entry, you won't buy Fastlane and you need to borrow a kid to ride Wilderness Run? Lol have fun with that. I sort of like the plan you posted because then you'll be stuck with a terrible 100th coaster and that's kind of funny. My suggestion would be to skip the kids coasters and focus on enjoying yourself rather than trying to convince someone to let you borrow their kid to ride a kiddy coaster. Throw in Maxair and Skyhawk if you have time. They're better than some of the coasters. If you insist on doing that though don't ride Valravn, Raptor, Blue Streak, Wicked Twister or Gatekeeper until afternoon / evening. Lines get much shorter as the day goes on.

Yeah that's true. Early entry, yes (staying at the park) And I'll keep all of that in mind coasterkid You have a few options. I wouldn't go to Valravn first, everyone will do that. Personally I'd enter the resort gate and just go to Maverick and ride the crap out of it during Early Entry. Don't be tempted by the short line for Skyhawk nearby. Skyhawk is an excellent ride, but it never has a line anyway because of it's capacity. If you want you can leave there at like 9:45 and get in line for Millennium Force before the park opens to the public or Dragster which doesn't open at all until 10:00 or later because LOL Dragster. Another option is to go to Millennium Force right away. Then once you ride that I'd probably go back to Maverick or up to Gatekeeper. A few tips since you haven't been there before. - You can ride Gatekeeper during early entry but DO NOT ride Raptor, Gatekeeper, Valravn or Blue Streak once 10AM hits for a few hours since they're in the front of the park. The lines will get much shorter later on. It's a shame Raptor isn't open any more for early entry. It was a great early entry ride. Walk on city for the front row (and it's the best B&M in the park... I guess I should ride Valravn before proclaiming Raptor the best but I feel pretty confident in saying that anyway). - Dragster will have a huge line for the front row that might add about 45 minutes to your wait time. WAIT IN THAT LINE. It will be long and there's a reason for that. - This is obligatory but it's important... Ride Mean Streak in row 1, lean forward and keep your back off the seat back for a smooth ride (there's a bar to hold onto). Failure to do this will lead to a merciless beating. To avoid slamming into Magnum's restraints tighten the seatbelt as much as humanly possibly. On Blue Streak, ride in the middle row of any car. Don't ride in a wheel seat or you'll be begging for Mean Streak. Also, ride Gatekeeper in the front on either wing. It's great everywhere but the front rules. - At some point, get a front seat night ride on Millennium Force - Gemini may not race except on the weekend, make sure you ride it when it does and be sure to slap hands with the other train as it goes by on the turns. Have fun at Cedar Point! -

Outside seats have insane amount of vibration, load slowly due to horrendous train design, restraints suck (feels like I'm doing a push up when in the flying position as a survival tactic), half the layout is taken on your back while you face straight up into the air, and the elements that exist aren't particularly forceful. I suppose the last point is actually a positive, as if they were taken with the kind of force B&M doles out on their pretzel loops, half the train would probably return dead from closed head injuries. I agree about slow loading, but I never found the rides uncomfortable for whatever reason. Clearly I'm in the minority and I won't deny that B&M's are better (though I enjoy the standard Vekoma clone over a Superman clone but when you talk about something like Manta or Tatsu it's not comparable) but I don't mind them.
