  1. Fair warning: Joker is closed again and they cleared out the queue. But more importantly the Log Flume is now open for the season, I assume that's why you were going anyway.
  2. Why is that? The water comes out of of the same fountains that they use to pour Coca-Cola, Mello Yello, and iced tea and those are made with that same water. What's the difference? Unless it's a taste thing I don't get it.
  3. Thanks to courtesy water cups I've never bought a souvenir bottle in my life from any park and wouldn't even if they were free. They're a pain in the ass. The only things I drink at parks are water and beer. Neither of which require a souvenir cup (though that would be kind of awesome).
  4. For what it's worth, Great Adventure is my home park and I personally don't care. Maybe it'll surprise me but I'm not rushing out to ride it. Hopefully it'll make me eat my words but for now... meh.
  5. Right now we don't know for sure but that is the prevailing rumor from some pretty reliable sources and makes sense due to it's low capacity. I would imagine that you would not be able to re-ride but I'm just making assumptions based on other parks in the chain.
  6. You must be new to this whole "Six Flags" thing. Personally I'm happy there's any "theming" at all.
  7. On that note, they posted this on Snapchat yesterday. I would think it'll be open this weekend.
  8. ^ Viper at Great Adventure really sucked on a level that's almost incomprehensible. I don't understand how it was ever allowed to operate.
  9. Probably not, Six Flags America's annual expansion budget is approximately eight dollars. If you would actually scroll back 46 pages and read something then you would know that Six Flags bought this conversion on a BOGO deal they found in the Black Friday coupon section of the newspaper at head quarters. Buy one iron horse conversion for a coaster that has an identical clone elsewhere in the chain and get the second conversion for free.
  10. Great reports on Dollywood and Carowinds. I loved the story about the drunk guys on Fury, lol. My initial response to that trip report from SFOG was of course, "No sky bucket photos 0/10" but after reading through it I enjoyed it immensely. lol
  11. Probably not, Six Flags America's annual expansion budget is approximately eight dollars.
  12. Generally speaking on days when they close at 8:00 they're not anticipating large crowds, so you might get lucky on Memorial Day.
  13. There should be a new rule that I can't post before downing my first cup of coffee in the morning.
  14. You were probably in the front leaning forward. lol and it's still in technical rehearsal.
  15. Ejector And my preference is that people don't ask stupid questions. (lol jk)
  16. Why? Please tell me you know somebody in Toledo. Otherwise, why??? Edit: stupid suggestion retracted 1. Firehawk 2. Flight of Fear 3. Backlot Stunt Coaster 4. Beast 5. Diamondback 6. Banshee 7. Invertigo 8. Bat 9. Adventure Express 10. Racer 11. Vortex 12. Race for your life Charlie Brown 13. Sunset 14. Beast 15. Beast 16. Beast 17. Beast 18. Beast 19. Beast 20. Beast 21. Beast
  17. Keep talking. I feel like everyone who talks crap should ride Mean Streak in row 2 sitting normally. Then we'll see who's laughing. jk
  18. I like wood coasters that run smooth but throw you around laterally by design (Twister at Knoebels for example) but wood coasters aren't supposed to feel like you're riding on a jackhammer with square wheels like Wildcat does. At least not in my opinion.
  19. Yup. Not sure what the eyeroll was about though, I simply asked a question. But yes, the park never actually gave the cost so every figure floating around is either hearsay or pure speculation. I was curious though since the estimates most people pull out of thin air are closer to 6 million (which to be fair, have just as little credibility as the 2 million dollar number though if I had to guess I would lean towards the 6 million dollar figure).
  20. Everything is a matter of opinion and I respect that but I can't believe 2 people on this page put Banshee in the same conversation as Montu, let alone ahead of it. Whatever you people are smoking, I want some. Montu makes Banshee look like a wacky worm.
  21. My opinion on Wildcat is that it sucks, but it doesn't suck THAT much. It's rideable and enjoyable despite being way rougher than it should be. We usually skip it because it always has lines that are way longer than it deserves to have but I tried to get brit to ride it during Christmas Candylane (she shot me down though, she hates that ride).
  22. Oh good, we're still talking about this.
  23. Very nice report. The "ghetto dinosaur" like made me (literally) laugh out loud.
  24. It's incredible seeing the devastation that can take place in this thread over the course of a few short hours.
