  1. Because that's how parks make major financial decisions...
  2. We have no idea, and this Cedar Fair - Intamin rumor may or may not have any actual basis in reality but they've worked with other companies very recently like Mack for Coast Rider and GCI for the Ghostrider revamp and for Gold Striker.
  3. This ride area looks outstanding. I have a question though... is Kong really a strong IP? It looks incredible but what kind of gate do you expect this to draw? Sorry if I'm a bit out of the loop on the Kong ride. I've been mostly avoiding this thread to prevent spoilers but curiosity got the best of me.
  4. Yeah Dragster is testing. Hurry up and ride it before it breaks again. lol Edit: Too late
  5. Doubtful since Raptor is running. They usually go down at the same time (though I know Dragster has it's own wind meter). Plus it wasn't running this morning either even though Sky Ride was.
  6. It's been down all day I think. And no. lol
  7. That looks awesome. I wish it was at the Orlando location though.
  8. I used to have this idiotic pipe dream of Funland putting some rides on the roof but now that the solar panels up there it'll never happen. Plus the city would probably never approve it anyway. I think they have a 3 story height limit that they put in after Star of the Sea was built. Then I thought it would be cool to put a park on that huge patch of grass in a ridiculously prominent location on Highway 1 near Jungle Jim's but there's a Wawa and strip mall going there so never-mind.
  9. I don't know how helpful of an answer this is but I'm probably about 50/50 between desktop and smartphone simply because I check it on a desktop at work. Otherwise though I'm almost always on mobile. I'm definitely following the trend of using mobile more and more often as time goes on though. So there's my long, not-helpful non-answer. lol
  10. Errrr, not really. Delaware is 1-3 hours from the Jersey shore, SFA, Great Adventure, Kings Dominion, Dorney, BGW and Hershey. You're actually in a really good spot if you're in Delaware I'd say. Yeah Delaware is fine. They tried building a park near New Castle about a decade ago called "Blue Diamond Park" and it failed miserably. They bought the Zyklon from Del Grossos (which is now in Daytona Beach) and that was their signature ride. They still have some rides sitting there if you know where to look. From south Delaware you're also basically in Ocean City so you have Trimper's and Jolly Roger's, a quick Cape May Lewes Ferry ride gets you near Wildwood and Rehoboth Beach has Funland which is an excellent little park on the boardwalk. Their Sea Dragon is the tallest and fastest amusement ride in Delaware. Woohoo
  11. Why do Magic Kingdom and DLR still have those stupid car rides? I was completely confused by it's existence during our Disney trip last month. It takes up a ton of room, you can ride it at basically every park in America and there's nothing futuristic about a gas powered car ride.
  12. To be completely honest I was pretty impressed with the way they structured that parking lot deal. The entire time I was reading it I was caught between thinking it was hilarious and possibly the "six'flagsiest" thing ever and thinking it was a stroke of genius. I'm still not exactly sure how I feel about it. lol
  13. I entirely agree with this. It's not bad. It's just very average for a hyper coaster and Fury helps to exaggerate how average it is.
  14. Boulder Dash is an amazing coaster. It might be slightly overhyped but it's still excellent. My #1 suggestion with Lake Compounce is to make ABSOLUTELY SURE you ride the Chairlift. It's the most unique attraction in the park. I'm not sure what time it closes each day but if you get there at 4:00 I'd actually suggest going there first. No other park has anything that compares to that ride. Knoebels has one that's kind of cool but it's much, much shorter.
  15. You're more optimistic than I am. Due to the location I'm going to go with, "They're not doing anything interesting at all".
  16. Huh, well that's different. I'm intrigued...
  17. Or go to BGW which is always a better decision then going to KD or SFA. Let's face it, they are bottom tier parks KD is an excellent park. Plus it's a lot closer to SFA than BGW is.
  18. So Sea World has marine animals in a multi million dollar habitat and spends millions on animal rescue and everyone loses their minds. Kentucky Kingdom seems to have Sea Lions in an inflatable backyard above ground pool and nobody cares. Do I get that right? (And I'm not bashing Kentucky Kingdom. Just the hypocrisy of these activists).
  19. I feel the same way but with Manta. I think Manta is the best coaster in Orlando by a mile. If Mako tops that I'll be shocked.
  20. I have a better idea. What if you don't buy the Flash Pass at SFA and use the money you were going to spend on that on tickets to Kings Dominion. That way you don't have to go to SFA which is always a good thing
  21. I know for a fact it's not only enthusiasts it's pissing off! I can never get anybody else (we're talking GP types here) who goes with me to CP to ride it
