  4. Apparently they tried a free-admission Christmas event with just the carousel open as far as rides go for one year in the 90s, but it wasn't a success.

  6. Hello everybody. I'm just new on this forum and I would like to start about sharing with you some items from my little collectibles about theme parks. And I will begin with something that making the hapiness of Ebayers here (unfortunately...) : limited editions of Disneyland Paris attraction's keys. The first one is about the Tower Of Terror (1928 copies) The second one is about Pirates of the Carribean (1927 copies) Then it comes Alice’s Curious Labyrinth (1992 copies) And now, the most crazy ride of the west Big Thunder Mountain (1979 copies) Let's go to a galaxy far far away with Star Tours (1987 copies) Let's down with something a bit more spooky, Henry Ravenswood (aka The Phantom) from Phantom Manor (1860 copies) And her daughter Melanie (999 copies - This one was pretty hard to get, there was some altercations between guests at the opening) We continue with Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy and a new system of online reservation now for buy it (2014 copies) And the last one till today, Time Keeper from the defunct Visionarium attraction (1992 copies) We are waiting also keys from the Nautilus and Space Mountain : De la Terre à la Lune but you know... 2020 happen... A last one out of series about Mickey's 90 I've also the 2 boxes and medal from the 25th anniversary of Disneyland Paris but they are too big for my white box. So maybe next time if you are interested.

  7. And if we're going to frame this discussion as an issue of "investment" or finance, Quimera is an old, portable, compact coaster, in less-than-perfect condition, from a park that no longer exists. Indiana Beach is probably picking it up for pennies on the dollar, even if it's going to require some refurb work. They get to add something thrilling at what I can only assume is a low financial risk. IB is exactly the kind of park that should be looking for this kind of opportunity.

  8. I think a more likely path would be this, it is slightly longer, covers more of the large scale displays, and also does not go through any areas inaccessible to vehicles like under Pandemonium or through the front mall gates.

  9. On the topic of guest experience. I am sure under current circumstances it is not as consistent as they would like, most businesses are not if they are even open. That being said after the excellent support in the previously mentioned lost car key debacle at the ACE event, I had another issue completely (once again) of my own making. Apparently it was my weekend to be stupid. In the panic and then subsequent relief of the key, and the fact that we stayed an hour late for ert and went out the resort gate; I totally forgot that I had sent a package to pick up earlier in the day. I realized the next day on our way home and called the park. Of course got a machine, left my sad tale and offered to pay to ship or in lieu of that possibility could I get a refund. I did not hear back for about 10 days BUT did eventually get a call from a very nice and obviously harassed supervisor who asked for my address so they could ship it to me at no expense on my part. So......maybe just a little patience.

  10. oh look. . I got a survey from Kennywood asking me what type of "events" I'd prefer they do to get me coming to the park most often. luckily, there's a space on the last page to give some feedback on what other new special events I'd like to see at Kennywood:

  11. Well, I mixed up the KI and KD threads, so here's a random picture I took this year of how full the parking lot was.
