hansrubens
^ Â We did ride the robot ride. I just didn't get any photo's of it.... Â After skipping it in California for alcoholic reasons I was eager to ride it in Deutschland. I don't know how the system worked in California but I think it was just a button from 1 -5 for intensity. In Germany you get a card and you can program your moves yourself. Of course we got all the extreme maneuvers in our program. If any of you are not familiar with this ride then take a look here for the German version or here for the Californian version. themeparkologist
Great photos! It must take a lot of legos to make each miniland  EDIT:Is the section with the flume and mountain unique to Deutschland?
hansrubens
^ Â No I think that every Legoland is the same as all the other parks in the world!!!! Â Edit: Well I've only been to California and Deutschland Legoland and those rides were not in California so it might be that they are unique. Six Flags Enthuseast
4 words: German Parks Are Awesome! I know there's the nude women and awesome coasters and beer and pretzels, but there's a lot of other cool stuff I didn't realize was there, like great themeing, boat jump rides, and Sling Shot/Turbo Force rides that aren't upcharge there but would be upcharge here in America. Thanks for sharing, all these awesome TRs are making me even more exited to go to Europe!
hansrubens
Monday april 12 - Tripsdrill Germany. Â Our first plan was to visit Connyland Switzerland on this day but due to the delay of their fine russian coaster we made a side move to Tripsdrill. Since I was here last year I knew I couldn't go wrong by doing that. This is also the first park were I used my ClubTPR card for the very first time. Â The day was really a quest for people there were only five cars on the parking when we arrived. Â There were 6 persons needed to run Mammut and I can tell you that was a problem. The kiddie coaster was a total different story. They said that the whole train needed to be full so it only runned twice that day on 12:30 and 16:00. Â You always hope that it will not be too crowded when you visit a park but it's not fun/nice when the place is deserted. Â Anyhow we did had a great time at this nice German park. Â There will be hardly any humans in this trip report but I hope you like it anyway. Â Â Pictures... Mammut in the distance Park entrance. Do they count for humans? I think I found two. I can't believe my eyes. Wine barrel ride is fun and the cars spin like hell. More rides no people. It's almost creepy. This was a hard credit that day. At least we got enough room to ride on the funny bikes. Something's not right. Last helix of G'sente Sau. This is much better. In the afternoon it got a bit more crowdy. Just a bit. Pre lift theming is finished and it's really good. Mammut and the bathtub themed logflume. Oh and it was really cold that day, almost freezing. I didn't ride it last year but this year we had plenty of time. Cool ride with some good special effects. This way to the toilets. Always take your booze while producing your number 2. The old mill with the insanely fast slide inside. Entrance. I love the detail in this park. Next up boat the ride. It's like a splash battle but here you had to pump the water with your foot. see pump, pump, splash, splash. Kiddie log flume. Cool people riding rollercoaster. Who? Me? Entrance for kiddie logflume. Yes we were too old to ride the kiddie logflume. Inside this house is a funhouse located. with shaking floors. revolving barrels. And mirrors that make us small enough to ride the kiddie logflume but I guess we're too fat now. There is an outside section too. There were some other people looking for humans too. In fact they were looking for a partner in life. Each of the character has it's own "difficulties"/ I thinks it was located under the ladder house. If you're German is good enough you can read it. Simply said I need a wife for cleaning and cooking marry me. and I'm a whore marry me. It was really fun, bizarre datinghouse walkthrough. And now the Ladder house. PS. I didn't know Kidtums was that old. Those kids were getting lucky. Just climb the stairs and see if you can get lucky. Because we had plenty of time we even found this walkthrough wine barrel. Are we too tall the ride? While you enter you get drunk instantly.. OMG is it him? Let's walk that bridge. We're having so much fun walking the bridge. Finally the train filled up and we could take our credit. Let's get drunk. Boiling soup. Overview of boiling soup the ride. POV deserted? Seifkistenrennen/Soapbox race. This ride is awesome. You race against each other and you have to follow the ideal line in order to keep your speed. If you're of you will lose speed. and if you did everything correct you'll finish first. A bit more of a close finish. Pitbox. Last picture for those who're interested.
Ryancrash
A park as awesome as Tripsdrill should never be this empty! Tripsdrill is truly charming and delightful on so many levels - I wish parks in the U.S. had half as much character as this place has. Â Nice to see more theming added to Mammut since our 2008 visit. Groteslurf
Great update. Â Crowds were indeed a little bit different to when we visited last year. So obviously there were no school holidays going on ?
hansrubens
No school holidays indeed. At least not in Germany but in Parc Asterix it was a bit more crowdy. Â --Hans
mejaybe
Very nice trip report on both locations. I especially like the level of detail that legoland places in their aquariums. The colors, the realism, the lego man nipples. GIANT GROUPER: "Umm, dude... that's just wrong." LEGO DIVER: "What do you expect, it's cold down here!" WildStangAlex
The park looks pretty awesome with theming and all! G'sengte Sau and Mammut look incredible. Thanks for all the great Pictures!
RoCo
Cool TR and now I've learned that the thing I must do at this park is no longer that sweet looking Bobsled coaster, but the "fun, bizarre datinghouse walkthrough." Must. Do.
BeatleBen
Nice TR! I really enjoyed this place and it's become one of my all-time favorite parks! It's got a lot of "old time charm" to the level that Knott's used to have years ago which is something that always appeals to me in theme parks. Beeja
Great report so far, I'm really looking forward to the other updates! And thanks to this report my brain keeps telling me: "Do the same! Go on a trip in Germany!! So many credits you still don't have..." Â Tripsdrill looks just plain creepy in your pics... But then again: no crowds > too much crowds! Â See you soon on our next park visit together!
hansrubens
Tuesday april 13/Wednesday april 14 - Europapark  We stayed for two days at Europapark with one night on Resort. We booked Hotel Castillo Alcazar and we got a room with parkview.  Europapark is simply amazing everything is just awesome, the rides, the theming. In my opinion it's even a better resort than Disney - Paris and California.  We didn't had too much love from the sun these two days but it was dry and more important not too busy.  Warning there will be some evil creatures in this update!!!   Pictures.... (part 1) If you look closely you can see the hotel resort in the distance. View from my room. Neat view huh!! Pool of Santa Isabel. Early morning Blue Fire already opened up. There were several evil creatures around the park. First credit. Matterhorn Blitz. This coaster had the longest queue. It was about an hour... Blue Fire and Silverstar had only 15 minutes. Queue area. Station picture!!! Evil creature # 2 Did I mention that the food is of a very high quality in Europapark. Delicious. Parks transport system. Swing ride located in Austria. It just youre normal swing ride but because it's in Europapark it's awesome. Awesome powered coaster. See and it even goes through a mountain. A mountain full of diamonds that is. Even people from Alabama can come to Europapark. Cause there is a church you know. A church with many crosses. Inside. There are even two. Inside the same diamond mountain is a Logflume too. Very nice Swiss village. Sledding. Twisting.... It's a very easy going bobsled. The whole bobtrack in one picture. Viva La France. New entrance to Blue Fire. On the left starts the single riders line. That's a big improvement compared to last year when the single riders line started at the very end of the queue line. New entrance building. Inside. Where are we? OMG coaster car. Some launch pictures. Well that's a big a$$ loop. Hitting the final brakes. It's such a great ride. The same element as on Maverick. Evil creature #3 Next up some overview pictures. Eurosat Silverstar Slowly spinning boat ride. Poseidon and.... Evil creature #4 - Is it a terrorist? Look he made it to the top. Parks that have wine take away points are awesome. New for 2010 - Splash battle. Great theming but due to the weather we didn't ride. Family fun. Next spinning kids ride. With an evil dragon that will take your kids with no reason. That makes #5. and spin them around. We love rides with weels. Station picture. Simply stunning. Vindjammer - Swinging ship. Ride sign. It swinged to the left. and to the right. and I missed it. From a distance it swinged too. And further away it swinged even better. Silverstone race track. Some Poseidon Pictures. We did ride it despite the weather cause it's a credit you know. Two train shot. Favorite spot. Two train shot. Pegasus Junior Coaster Evil creature #6 Takes away a lot of view. I finally got this credit. Thank you nice German ride operator.
hansrubens
Part 2 Tow boat ride. Evil creature #7 This ride is perfect if you just want to chill out. Which of those birds is real. The most evil creature of them all #8 Is this one evil? you decide. Nice scandinavian village. Silver Star. 2010 Formula One Pacecar. I see an evil creature on the giant screen. Going up the lift. It really ran good this year. Hardly any trims on the first two Airtime hills. It will definiately make a jump on my list. The normal line was about a 15 minute wait. The frontline was about 45 minutes though. Pit box... One of the best coaster crews in the world. Spot the viking. I feel so totally at home now. Delfts blauw. Model of Eurosat. <-- In dutch the name of this coaster sounds like you got plenty of money. Euromir.
