CP_RULES Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 What kind of ride is the Mine Train? Is it fast? Only if you consider 38mph fast.... You can find facts about all of the roller coasters at SFGAdv here (where it says "Existing Roller Coasters").

An inversion is any part of a coaster in which you go upside-down.

Do you know what this is?

That's basically a half-loop into a twist, but I'm not sure what it's called... I'm still kinda n00bish. By the way, the coaster in that picture was my second big coaster ever. It's The Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and it's an awesome coaster where you stand up with your behind resting on a small cushion for support. Lots of fun.

Nope its like it twisted on itself instead of flipping straight 360 it pretty much twisted 360 on itself... lol I donno how to explain but it was blue if that helps.

Neogreeneyez Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Could that be a heartline roll or a zero G roll?
vjgx Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Could that be a heartline roll or a zero G roll? Actually, that might be it...

n00b Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 The second inversion on Batman The Ride is one of those, SFGAd has a B:TR, so your in luck! Colin C Great! That always stuck with me as something I'd like to try!
erinys Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Smoother than silk. You might download some of the POV (Point of View - is that right?) videos under the Member's Only forums (Ack! I can't find one - can anyone help?). Watching those videos of the rides from on-board was what convinced me I had to work my way up to be able to ride Medusa, at the minimum.
n00b Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 NITRO - believe it or not...you are IN THERE! it is my daughters most fave ride...pm me...i have somtething to show you!!! Anyhow...she says it is the best ride ever...and we have made it a tradition - we get to SFGA - its Nitro first. (Dont take my not riding it yet as it being bad...I just want to do El Toro first since the drops are a similar height. IF I didnt like Nitro by some slight omg its too high reason...I wont do EL TORO.) Just do Medusa first...You will be A OK! I have to talk my 11 yr old son into riding SOMETHING on fathers day. I am getting him on Superman first, cuz to me it is the smoothest. (My daughter was there yesterday...both sides of chiller were closed.) YOU WILL HAVE FUN!!! (I say that loud and proud) Hey I PM-ed you two days ago!!
CP_RULES Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Yep it looked like that! Is there anything like that at six flags in new jersey? There are actually quite a few. As said, B:TR has one, but so does Medusa, and so does Chiller. ^Technically Chiller has two. ^Medusa's. ^B:TR's (I think this ride has been re-painted since this picture was taken). All photo credits to Coaster Image.
n00b Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 Thanks a lot! So if Batman the Ride is smooth I'm assuming Medusa and Chiller are smooth too?
CP_RULES Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 ^Chiller is built by a different manufacturer than B:TR and Medusa, I have never ridden any of them but I have heard Chiller is a *little* rough. But i can almost assure you Medusa and B:TR will be smooth as they are B&M's.
Darien Laker Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Chiller won't hurt though because there are no shoulder restraints, just lap bars.
