Six Flags Highland Forest [RCT3]

Recommended Posts

Yesterday Six Flags cooperation released some exciting news for the people of Washington State. They said Six Flags would be building a park in the mountains, about 30 minutes away from Seattle. Not much is known about the park thus far but SF has ensured the GP that this park will be great. The park will be named Six Flags Highland Forest. The land was bought secretly by SF to make sure it would be cheap, it is said to be a small, flat valley nestled within beautiful mountains, breath taking waterfalls, and expansive lakes. More on the park later when more news is received, I might be able to get my hands on some concept art.

So after working my a** off for days, I finally made it down to the site of the park. I got two low-quality pictures from far away (as I was not allowed to get close) but I did get my hands on some concept art for the awesome looking coaster. Ill let the park speak for itslef.

^This is the concept art that I had to beg to get my hands on, appreciate it.

^More concept art, I wish I knew the name of this beast.

^Looks like construction isnt very far yet, but the setting is BEAUTIFUL.

^Sorry, this was the best real picture I could get, security was being....security.

Me being the public relations manager for SFHF, I got to get into the park today and see first hand some of the action happening. And of course, I bring you construction pictures (which are really cool because I got a helicopter tour of the park!). Let me tell you some of the happenings. Gift shops, food courts, and other buildings are being built near the entrance and throughout the park. Different flat ride parts are constantly being brought in, and five flats are already built. One of which is a quad space shot/drop tower from S&S. The wooden coaster has been named:

Also, in addition to the flat rides, shows and other attractions are being prepared. The park building process is in full swing, and right on schedule.

^The concept art for the quad tower.

^Building construction around the entrance.

^Thunderstorms temporarily halted construction.

^These construction crews are the only thing keeping us on schedule, and let me tell you, they are awesome! They finished the entrance plaza buildings today.

^El Volador, the parks Huss topple tower.

^I love the view of Highlander from the top of the mountain.

I come with good news! Pieces of coaster track have been spread throughout the park, and three new coasters have emerged. Two of which are B&M, and one of which is Premier. I have a feeling you want to see these beasts, well, I have been strictly ordered to keep my mouth shut, so have fun guessing by the names!

***The cranes are from the park travaux pack. It can be found Here***

I finally have been given the green light about telling the GP about SFHF's new coasters. However, the parts for Predators station have not yet arrived, so there will only be one (barely visible) shot of it. The Claw will be the highlight of this update. Here is the low down:

The Claw is a small B&M flyer featuring a "pretzel" loop, and an in-line-twist. The Claw sports BOLD colors of red and orange, along with yellow trains, and is located on the parks east side. The Claw, like Impact and Highlander, goes outside the parks boundaries (the park is fairly small).

Contradicting what you may have thought, Predator is a B&M floorless coaster. Predator is well over the 120' mark and features the following elements: loop, cobra roll, zero-g roll, batwing (first ever on a B&M sit-down), and ends with high speed helices. Predator attacks the park with daring silver track, and light blue rails. The ride is located on the eastern/central side of the park, and flies over the midways.

Finally, Impact, is a crazy launched coaster from Premier rides reaching speeds of 75mph in about 2 seconds! Sure to be a thriller, Impact will turn you upside down four times while traveling through its incredibly speedy and tight yellow track. The ride features a cobra roll, corkscrew, and loop, along with many heart pounding over banked curves. This ride is located on the southwestern side of the park.

^So this would be one view of The Claw

^And this is Impact, looks similar to the Joker's Jynx coasters IMO

^The Claw's station and track (parts of it atleast)

^This is a view from near the waterfall on the parks north side. It is a low quality picture but you can make out The Claw, Predator, and Impact in it. You can also see Torres Del Destino (Towerrs Of Doom), the quad space shot/drop tower ride.

Progress Report! Not a lot of stuff has gone on since I last updated but I have some good news! (I just saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to Geico!) The station for Predator has been completed and a splash boats ride has been built. Also, there have been papers around my office from Heinrich Mack GmbH (the people who built many wild mouse coasters all over the USA). I suspect that SFHF might be getting a fifth and final coaster from them. Anywayz, lets get on with the update shall we?

^The beautiful entrance plaza and Predator.

^Predator's intense ending helix

^Awwwwww, Predator loves you! (Maybe you wont become prey!) Batwing acton

^SPLASH BOATS! (and Predator)

^Skyline shot number one

^Skyline shot number two

Obviously, not much can have happen since the last update, but I do have some news. Good or bad? I will let you decide.

Remember me telling you that there where papers from the Mack coaster company on my desk? Well, it turns out Mack DID submit a design in for SFHF's fifth and final coaster. It turns out the coaster was going to be a wild mouse named "Prey" as a play on SFHF's other coaster Predator. The coaster was to be located next to Predator and had one barrel roll inversion in its compact layout. However, C.E.O. of SFHF decided that this was not the way to go and rejected the deal with Mack.

Now you may be wondering how this news could possibly be good, right? Well, SFHF's C.E.O. has ensured the GP that the park will open with five coasters. This means the rejection of the Mack inverting wild mouse leaves room for a different coaster.

The following coaster companies have been watching the area where the parks final coaster will be located:

  • Intamin
  • The Gravity Group
  • Vekoma
  • Gerstlauer
  • Maurer-Sohne
  • Schwarzkopf
  • S&S Power, Inc.

Other than coaster business, mainly theming has been going on around the park. A few flat rides have been located on site, and a ski lift style transport has been built. Here are the most recent pictures:

^This was taken from the parks giant ferris wheel, you can see many rides in it.

^Seems like forever since I have gotten a nice shot of Highlander (also taken from the ferris wheel)

^Many mountain thunderstorms and rain have been popping up lately, further slowing down construction which is already a few weeks behind due to the Mack coaster complication.

^The splash boat's station has been themed.

Look for more information on the last coaster in the near future. Maybe I will be able to get a shot of the area the coaster will be located. Maybe that will help you in understanding the multiple company entries for the site.

I never said I made it. I said I put names of rides I would like into google, then I put the word logo after it and see what I find. For example, I thought The Claw would be a good name for a flyer so I put "The Claw logo" into google and found that logo. It very well may be a "australian intamin gyro swing at dreamworld" but I'm still going to use it because it's good! I get all of my logos that way (or by the other way I stated earlier) and the logos I find are good.

Next time you decide to go off on someone inverted_aussie, I would suggest carefully reading their post first.

u didnt create the logo for "the claw", u ripped it off from the australian intamin gyro swing at dreamworld called the claw.. nice work mate.. here it is just so u cant say that u didnt!

You dont have to be so rude ! All because its the same logo you dont have to go off on him and he didnt "steal" it. He looked it up online and thats what came up so please calm down.

I have the picture that I promised everyone, the one of the area the coaster is going. However, the area no longer looks anything like it does in the picture, in fact, the new coaster is built! I can't tell you yet what it is, but I can give you a few hints: Slam Dunk, 65, new, and "in the men." Here is the pic:

^Please note that I did not crop the picture so you know I am not trying to hide anything.

Announcing:

Voltage is an Intamin accelerator coaster introducing thrills never before seen on this planet! Voltage starts things out with a strong launch of 0-65mph in about three seconds. After this, riders speed through tight curves, and go into the worlds first Slam Dunk inversion (two inversions making a circle type shape/see pictures). Just when you think you done, Voltage packs in a heartline roll and a few more intense helices before entering the brakes and returning to the staion. Voltage shocks riders on opening day, only at Six Flags Highland Forest.

^An odd angle of the worlds first Slam Dunk.

^Here is a more appropriate angle.

^The heatline roll.

^You can see nearly the entire layout in this picture.
