dougr Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 The Saturday Night Live episode airing tonight has a Robert Smiegel short film burning Disney's straight to video releases, plus a couple of old skeletons from Walt's closet. Plus LASER CATS!
stingrock23 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I thought it was great. How bout that Jessica Rabbit picture? And Pearl Jam actually sounded pretty good tonight. It's the first time I've heard the new song. It looks like there's hope for their new album.
Slacking Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I loved the cartoon. My favorite part was when the kids where like "You're suppsoed to be funny?" to Mickey Mouse. The Song of the South segment made me chuckle too. Great cartoon.
Homer Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 That was something I would expect off South Park, a perfect satire of Disney. Anybody catch the "Disney's America" reference? And I kept laughing at all of the sequels... Lion King 5 2/3- Simba on The View... . **EDIT**: You can watch the clip HERE
disneygurlz2s Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 OMG!!! Ok, it a way, that's almost sacreligious to me, but I do have to admit it was pretty funny!! Shari "I own 'Song of the South', but not THAT version"Shoufler
PhishyBrewer Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Seeing Walt's head in a jar will never get old.
dandaman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Oh, man... I'm debating whether to post that on WDWMAGIC, for fear of scarring everyone for life.
Kroger8 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I thought it was really funny, even though Robert Smigel can't get through one episode without offending someone! SNL has slacked off the last couple of seasons, but I think that they may be getting to be funny again, especially with the addition of some new, funny people to the show. They are even going to have the Red Hot Chili Peppers on in a couple of weeks!! Go SNL, I'm ready for it to be funny again!
Deadromanticx Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I liked that cartoon, but the show in general sickened me. I feel like it's becoming more and more like MadTV lately, which is a terrible thing. The O'Reilly Factor sketch wasn't bad though.
saturday97 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 It was funny, but I was pretty shocked to see it! Definitely couldn't have pulled that off if they were on ABC!! I just recently saw another Robert Smigel cartoon (on a consumer advocate video) that aired only once about corporate ownership of TV networks including NBC. They removed it from reruns of that show.
DerekRx Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 If only Lindsay Lohan was as hot as she used to be, instead of a twig I may have actually stayed up to watch the show. I'm sure it will be on the web soon for downloading.
I_am_Em0_0 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Oh, man... I'm debating whether to post that on WDWMAGIC, for fear of scarring everyone for life. post it post it!

Luxo Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Haha, "Uncle Mickey's Cabin," "Donald's Slave Auction." I still love Disney, though. Oh, man... I'm debating whether to post that on WDWMAGIC, for fear of scarring everyone for life. It would be like the Danish cartoon all over again. Except they'd burn SNL flags and...'Chevy Chase' Banks???
dougr Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 All-Smigel episode on SNL tonight. 11:30 pm NBC http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=173071#173071
