BrownStreak
I went into Sandusky this past weekend to have lunch with a friend. He drove me over to the Bay opposite Cedar Point. They are doing something to Power Tower (there was something black on it) and they tested the Space Spiral. No sign of any footers from that vantage point! It was first time seeing that park since 8/99 and MF actually looked much smaller in person and Top Thrill Drag Queen even looked lame in person. Correct me if I'm wrong, this should have been a major coaster year right? They fell into that "every other year" groove in the Mid- to late 90's with major coasters/major thrill rides in the even years and family/thrill rides on the odd years. Dude
Yeah everyone is expecting something really big for nest year and I think we all know why.
Darien Laker
It's probably a good thing that they wait a few years between major coasters now. It shows that Cedar Fair cares about all aspects of their parks, not just thrill rides. They probably learned from Six Flags's mistakes. Besides, CP usually adds coasters that are worth waiting for. Carnage
^ That would be a valid point IF Cedar Fair had put effort into Cedar Point other then thrill rides. Cedar Point might not have gotten a coaster in the past few years, but they have gotten thrill rides(Maxair,Skyhawk). They have done little to nothing in regards of ther improvements. It's still the same park it was when TTD was built. It's still got problems with how the park is run, and they still haven't changed their focus of thrill rides first. In fact flattening White Water Landing for the 2007 coaster is a perfect example of how their focus is still the same.
ECZenith
I'm glad they waited a few years between coasters because the park needed a couple of giant flat rides-and that's just what they got. One big coaster in '07 is better than getting a bunch of small, lame coasters over a couple years.
coasterlover420
^^Last I saw, CP had 68 rides, and only 16 are coasters, so if my calculations are correct, they have 52 other rides! I think that's enough to please everybody. And I see nothing wrong with the way Cedar Point is right now. If there was, I'd have something to complain about. coasterguy618
IMO, parks should get new attractions every other year to make more people want to come. That dosn't mean that the new attractions have to be HUGE, but some new flats maybe so people won't get bored of the park. But Cedar Point is doing the right thing, saving for somthing that could be mind- blowing. Plus, they have enough rides.
Milkchan
^ I love what you said! Also if the park plan to build a BIG coaster wait like 2-4 years if you already have big coasters in the park. If you build big coaster year after year. People will expect tp have one every year and if you don't they may get dissapointed and not go to the park. pvcoasterguy
Ugh... let's go over the grammar rules for -est/most One syllable in root word: always use -est. Example: saddest. Two syllables: use either -est or most. For example, stupidest or most stupid are both correct. Three syllables (or more): always use most. Most emotional. Are you counting the 20 or so rides in Kiddie Kingdom that are all near identical? You know the ones that move around in a circle and you ride in a car, a boat, a rocket, a something else. And as far as the post right above- get a job proof reading and let me make my grammer jokes.
