Thrillrider15 Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I'm just wondering how many people tag along with Robb and Elissa to amusement parks on average. Hopefully, this wasn't asked already (cause I did a search).
SharkTums Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 It really depends on when and where we are. We had a group of over 40 at Phantasialand and Walibi World on our Europe trip, and sometimes we just go on our own!
imbordisux Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Who are most of the people that travel with you? Friends, family, co-workers? Some of each? And how do they travel with you so much? I'm sure you don't treat them, do they all have as much time and money to travel as you two do? Edit: I just re-read that last part, and it sounds a little tacky; didn't mean to ask about money and financing, especially in such a possibly off-putting way, but I'm not sure how else to word it. My apologies, no offense was meant.
SharkTums Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 We've explained it before, but it's worth another post. Robb and I are not rich. We both work full time at our jobs which pays the bills. When we travel, we are very budget conscious and look for deals on flights, hotels, and car rentals. We often split car rental and hotels with friends to help bring costs down even further. Also when we travel we cram a lot in to a 3 day or 4 day weekend. By taking redeyes, travelling over holidays we don't need to take off that much time from work. We travel with many poor college and high school students, as well as families on budgets. With some careful research and planning you can do these trips within most peoples budgets.
Hercules Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Maybe you should put together a little "school" on the site to give people an idea of how to find those deals and stuff to make their trips within budget. Maybe you have, I don't know, maybe I missed it.

Sounds alot like my girlfriend and I. We work hard, we save money, and we are able to take vacations. It's as simple as that.
Thrillrider15 Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 Can I ask where you work Elissa? I'm pretty sure I can find it in that one sticky topic, but I don't feel like it.
ChrisFL Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 is it possible to get a guided tour of SFMM in the first weekend in May?
SharkTums Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 ^^If you're too lazy to do a search, then I'm too lazy to tell you! ^If we're around, of course!
ChrisFL Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I looked at the stickied posts and didn't see anything... Anyway, if everything goes as well as the plan so far, I'll definitely be in that area May 4-7, can't wait. I'll be in SoCal for a personal business trip.

Satoshi Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 TPR members in US are lucky! 'cause they can go Six Flags with Robb and Elissa!
the_rock401 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 When the Alveys came up to Wisconsin Dells to ride Hades and Avalanche, IIRC, there were 6 people in the party. Well, including myself, 7. Paul
