coasterboy76 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I eat whenever I am hungry, Never had a problem with eating a meal then going back for more rides on the coasters. I remember doing the same thing when I was a kid at my school picnics, ride the rides like crazy, go home and pig out then go pack to the picnic and ride ride ride!
Nrthwnd Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 ^ Consider yourself one of the lucky few, heh heh.
arrowfanman Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I have only felt sick on a ride when I dont eat. I mean, if I eat a super-plus-chili-cheese-triple-deal-supremo, then I may be a bit cautious as to what I ride--but if its a normal park, burger and fries, then I'll feel free to ride. I used to actually buy lunch, and take it to X, and eat my lunch in the line for X, because by the time I actually got on, I didn't have an uncomfortable "full" feeling. Lol.
J man Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 ^I ate just before X too. But there was a two hour space inbetween the eating and the riding.
cprocks22 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I usually eat before i go into a park, but if i get hungry i'll have something small just so i dont get too hungry. Nothing greasy that will make me sick anyway. Eating before coasters doesnt bother me, at least not that much. The only time i have gotten sick from a ride is when i didn't eat, and i went on Shiekra 2 times in a row. As for spinning rides, i just don't ride them, except maXair BTW i heard somewhere else that your more likely to get sick from a ride if you dont eat, then if you have something in your stomach.
dougr Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 ^ That sounds great, the crystallized ginger idea. We love that stuff and have it around the house all the time. Worth a try. At Playland this season, they will have BreakDance and something they're calling The Gladiator which in photo looks like one of those swamp-boat 'like' flat rides. These are the two 'New AWESOME Rides' this year. What the flyer says, anyway. But - definitely want to try both of them, so will take a pack of ginger along and see what happens, lol. They brought in Breakdance and Gladiator about mid-season last year. We now know if we ride Breakdance and then Pirate Ship in succession, my wife WILL puke. I think she missed the Pirate Ship operator, though! That Burger King from what I remember should give you a good test for greasy gross food. Once you're in the park, one of the best deals seems to be the Buckeye Fries next to the Log ride.
