robbalvey Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Hey all! I have just posted the Sea Paradise/Cosmoworld and Six Flags St. Louis videos to the main video download page: http://www.themeparkreview.com/videos/video.htm Enjoy the crazy Japanese coasters, the "boat jumpers" and even the automatic popcorn machine! You can still download them in the "Memebers Only" section too, but now they are available for public consumption too! Enjoy! --Robb
rollermonkey Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Ooh! It's my current home park! Sadly, Sea Paradise has removed the Dolphin Coaster, which means that fewer coaster folks will likely visit this very nice park.
Cerberus Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Great videos! Lots of random comments all the way through. Funny That diving vanish coaster looks really, really awesome. Especially at night. It's cool that they went through the effort of giving is all the splash and light effects. Although I do kinda wish you'd included ground-level footage of the coaster diving into the lake. You know, without being able to see the hole so it does actually look like it is vanishing What's up with that weird arcade game with the gun and the little jumping bean (?) Thanks for sharing!

You know, without being able to see the hole so it does actually look like it is vanishing I do too but I think the coaster only ran like three times total while we were there, and one of them was while we were on it! The place was completely empty so getting any kind of offride footage meant waiting 15 minutes or longer for a dispatch. Sorry it didn't satisfy your coaster footage needs. I'll try better next time. --Robb
Swimace Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I really like that shot of blue fall where the camera is facing straight down at the ground, it really shows how high that thing is.
rollermonkey Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 ^ 107 meters I could TRY to get off ride of Diving Coaster: Vanish. I live about 15 miles away...

Sounds a bit like the problems with trying to film Ghostrider, except Ghostrider has a queue Well you certainly did well with the few opportunities you got then! Well done on holding the camera so steady on Blue Fall! That ride has suffered from some nasty track warping in a couple of the runs.
St.LouisBOI Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 The SFSTL video is awesome, I love the music with it. It's very fitting and reminds me somewhat of the Batman theme song in the station. I'm guessing that this was filmed in the 2000-2002 period since the line for the Boss was all the way to the wrap-arounds which are rarely filled up anymore and the wood is still a rich brown.

Yup, you are correct! 2002 I beleive! --Robb
HAYASHI Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I love the japanese vending machines. Glad it was recorded in action. The rides look great. I cant wait to plan my trip to japan. The city in the background looks like a busy metropolis. The song for the video is awesome too, the vocals are amusing.
robbalvey Posted February 8, 2006 Author Posted February 8, 2006 The city setting for Cosmoworld is probably one of the most impressive settings for a park ever! AWESOME!
HAYASHI Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 ^ i most definately agree.. with the evening city lights setting, the urban planning and architecture fits well together with the park.
CoasterCrazy Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 The Sea Paradise/Cosmoworld video is awesome! Blue Fall looks like an awesome drop ride!
