ScOtT k Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 can you tell me about the night of the living furby? It sounds hilarious!
Wes Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 WTF? How did you hear about that? Well, here's the sordid tale: Basically, "Night Of The Living Furby" was a movie I made with my friend in 11th grade, which would have been 1999. The basic plot was that a guy (me) buys a Furby for a present, and then gets stuck in a hotel room with it. The furby then proceeds to come alive and terrorizes the man, telling him the plot of the Furbies to take over the world. Then the Furby kills him. The final scene has the Furby setting his sights on another victim. We used Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire" for a montage sequence and over the end scene. All in all, it was pretty awesome. We shot it in black and white and edited it with a Pentium 300 MHZ on really really bad editing software. At the time, computer editing was very primitive, so our final movie was very herky-jerky with a lot of skips and stops. We entered it in our school's film contest, and despite pretty much getting the largest ovation from the crowd, the judges felt our little opus was too violent (the contest happened right after Columbine) and we didn't place. Even the winners said we should have won. We've always meant to re-edit it, but Chris and I can't find the raw footage anywhere. We think we might have a copy of the final product on a VHS somewhere, but neither of us have spent the time trying to find it.
ScOtT k Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 I read an old TR a couple of months ago... I think it was knotts winter solace 2000. Whoever wrote it (I can't remeber the name) said that he had met up with robb and the gang. He said that he talked to you for a little bit and that you had talked about a movie that you were making. I figured it was worth asking about.
Wes Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Oh okay, it was probably Mark McKenzie's TR. Make sense. It was just weird having someone randomly ask about it, it's like someone you don't know asking you about a girl you had a crush on in middle school or something. If we ever find a copy of it, I'll digitized it and put it online for everyone to see.
ScOtT k Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 lol, yeah... sorry if I freaked you out there.
Louise Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Wes, you have to try and find it, it sounds great! I despised Furbies, I was always convinced they were evil. Maybe I was right after all.... Louise "also scared of clowns, dolls, and puppets" Royle
SonOfBeastSucks Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 They came out with Furby's again this year. If you can't find the old one, you must make a new version!
Carnage Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Those of you who don't like Furby should enjoy this video. Furby in a microwave

Blazen_AZN Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 well, this proves it, Furbys ARE evile.. i absoultely HATED their guts... and i had one in my house that seriously would turn on in the middle of the night and start talking and all that jazz, i swear it even did it without batteries! i smashed that thing into pieces with a hammer... a big hammer.
the sound Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 i've still got mine, i have decided to terrorize my fututre children with it.
maliboomer Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I had a King Furby and treated it like a real animal. Then it bit me with it's super powerful plastic jaws of doom and I got furabies, so he was replaced with a Shelby, it's chronically disturbing big brother.
