CoasterCrazy
December 23, 2005 (BGT and Old Town) December 24, 2005 (Cypress Gardens and IOA) December 25, 2005 (USF) You can view over 200 high resolution pictures from my trip by clicking here. I went to BGT this morning the park wasn't very crowded I didn't wait over 30 minutes to ride anything. The weather was very nice compared to the weather that we have been having in Atlanta. I enjoyed riding SheiKra, I thought is was a lot of fun and riding it made me look forward to riding Oblivion this June. Python was rough but at lest is was a credit, I also rode Scorpion and it would have been fun if I wasn't so tall. I rode Kumba but I don't remember it have seat belts last time I rode it. Does anyone know when they put seat belts on the ride? I also re-rode Montu because I remembered how much fun it was last time that I rode it. Montu is still one of my favorite inverted coasters. I'm looking forward to riding Dueling Dragons tomorrow! I just got back from Old Town, the park doesn't have that great of coasters but I did get 2 credits. I'm tired and I need to get some sleep since I'm going to Cypress Gardens and IOA tomorrow. Here are some of the pictures that I took today:

Erik Johnson
Seat belts on Kumba?? Is there something extra than the OTSR now? They did not have any seat belts three weeks ago. I know Gwazi has seatbelts.
NitroJoeC
They've had seatbelts on Kumba since the start of this year, in fact....perhaps even earlier. Joe C. EDIT: And lol to the original poster...You're looking forward to Oblivion after riding SheiKra? That sounds so funny, considering Oblivion is barely half of SheiKra. I have never used seatbelts on Kumba yet, and I have ridden it around 10 times this year. Maybe it is on certain trains or seats.
coaster_type_of_person
Well great TR and have fun at CG! Hey i would still want to ride Oblivion even though it is half the size of SheiKra! I wish i could go on the TPR Trip this year!
RCTfan
I don't remember a seatbelt either, besides the one that goes between your legs and connects to the restraint. Maybe that one? I dunno. Sounds like good times. I wish I had those kind of lines for Gwazi when I was there. I loved that ride.
lagg
Nice report, I am doing CG, BGT, USO, WDW, WDAK, Epcot, IOA and Boomers (only for Dania Beech Hurricane) in Febuary. Loving your pics, if I were you I would do CP one day and IOA and USO another day. I guess your time in FL is limited though. At least your getting credits, I am stuck on 74. I want to hear how good CG is, I missed it last time I went to FL. So I want to hear a good report .

CoasterCrazy
I went to Cypress Gardens this morning and no-one was in the park! I rode all of the five coasters in about 1.5 hours. The wooden coaster was the best coaster in the park. On my way out of the park I walked through the model train exhibit, it was neat seeing how detailed the trains and the scenery were. After I left Cypress Gardens, I went to IOA I spent the whole afternoon at IOA. I was surprised to find out that everything in the park had less than 45 minute wait! I didn't buy fast passes because the lines weren't that long but I will be buying them tomorrow when I go to USF. I rode Ice two times, it was still as good as it was when I rode it almost 4 years ago. It is still one of my all time favorite inverted coasters, I like the older B&M's a lot more than the newer ones. I rode the HULK, it was a lot of fun when I rode it a couple of years ago but for some reason it wasn't as fun this time. I'm looking forward to riding ROTM tomorrow and I'm also looking forward to watching Fear Factor Live. Here are some of the pictures that I took today:
coaster_type_of_person
Very nice, Did you ride Fire? Which one was your favorite, and hope you have fun at Universal
CoasterCrazy
^I didn't get a chance to ride Fire today but I might ride it tomorrow if I get the chance to. From what I remember about Fire I like Ice better than Fire but I would have to ride it again before I say which one is better.

Slacking
Nice pics, a few random notes: 1- was the "water portion" of Rhino Rally working? I can't remember the last time I saw that part operating. 2- I'm glad I'm not crazy. A year or so ago when I rode Kumba and noticed seatbelts, I was questioning my sanity on whether they were new or not. I rode Kumba many times this year, and always had the seatbelts. 3- Best thing at Cypress Gardens is the Spinning rapids ride. 4- Second best thing at Cypress Gardens is the big train set diorama. Slacking
^The "water portion" of Rhino Rally was working when I rode it. Its a Christmas miracle! Its been over a year since I've been to the park and its been working.
Gregory DG
3- Best thing at Cypress Gardens is the Spinning rapids ride. 4- Second best thing at Cypress Gardens is the big train set diorama. Dunno, I prefer the Hurricane and the Banyan Tree over the spinning rapids ride (where you hardly even get wet, but will get sick.) The train set is unquestioningly cool though. Erik Johnson
Is the seatbelts your talking about Kumba like all the other B&Ms? The interlocking part that buckles to the OTSR?
CoasterCrazy
^Yes, the seat belts are just like the ones that are on other B&M's.
Erik Johnson
Ok, then I am not crazy. I guess I was thinking all along there was another lap seat belt. Just ignore me, I am a coaster newbie still.
