BiCoastal Kid Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 So, the time has come... and Rock feels that he wants to try to make a Disney-esque resort using CORE RCT2 objects. It seems to be my trademark. Now, for what this resort(yes, resort) will consist of. 3 seperate parks: -Disney Aquautic World. A Combination of DisneySea and EPCOT philosophy, the park will feature revamped versions of previous Disney rides as well as some new attractions as well. The park is based around a large lake which is the main hub for the various streams and rivers which run throughout the resort. -Disney's Forests- A combination of Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and the various studio parks of the Disney resorts, Dinsney's Forests will be part nature park, part eco-friendly amusement park. -Magic Kingodm- The staple Disney park. The park will feature your classic Disney attractions, perhaps jazzed up a bit, with some darned enjoyable elements. Various luxury hotels. Instead of focusing on size, Disney has chosen to offer a larger number of medium-sized attention hotels which will increase guest satisfaction, decrease the amount of land needed(Which increase park availability) and offer a wider variety of hotel themes and atmoshperes. Screenshots to come soon.
zaneymon Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Sounds awesome Did you use 1 scenario for all or 1 each
BiCoastal Kid Posted December 20, 2005 Author Posted December 20, 2005 ^It's one big ole scenario. Yes, this means that every guest will get lost(I have succesfully achieve "most confusing park" for the past 5+ years now, lol), but nobody cares about the peeps anyway. The resort is bordered by roads, as it is set in a developing suburban area which Disney felt could be quite profitable in the tourism area. So, you know, they're building three parks and 6+ hotels simultaneously. It's only natural. Here, have random screenies. This is the stream-front DTD. It's also across from Aquatic Worlds' version of Journey. Disney's Grand Lodge! Ain't it purdy? Yes, it is inspired by the GrandCali/Nature Lodge. I like it. Early shot: That's the main arrivals area for the resort. All three parks' entrances will branch off of this central hub, as well as the small botique Downtown Disney. No, that random path is no longer there...
Luxo Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Wow! Very creative and ambitious, can't wait to see more!
coasters 4 me Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Very cool. I like all the buildings. Good work!
coasterdude5 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Great job! Yeah, the buildings are really nice, especially the lodge.
Luxo Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Your downtown disney sure kicks the crap out of mine
BiCoastal Kid Posted December 20, 2005 Author Posted December 20, 2005 Here are some pictures of what is done so far in Aquatic Worlds. Overview. Journey IS a volcanic island. The ferris wheel is behind the main wharehouse in the "port town." The entrance/Exit is themed to an old lava tube turned into a factory because of its rich deposits. I'm sure it's easy to differ between the factory and mine. Journey! If you notice lots of lift segments, it's mainfor blocking. I don't like having brake runs, so I use lift segments at the tops of tall hills to where the flow isn't interruptd, and the ride will still finish the course if they have to stop. This is the entrance pavillion and "mainstreet" type area. Every Park will have a tall beacon along the main arrivals area to serve as a location helper.
coasterdude5 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Wow, amazing work! Could you post an overview of the whole park?
BiCoastal Kid Posted December 20, 2005 Author Posted December 20, 2005 ^Next time I'm in the game, I'll be sure to take a picture of the big flat area. Haha. You'll get to see how I laid out the rough shapes of the parks/rivers with varying path colors.
Hattuchili Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Man, that all looks very interesting. I like how you build your park! I hope to see more, soon! --Sören
BiCoastal Kid Posted December 21, 2005 Author Posted December 21, 2005 Here ya go. A lot is yet to be done, like, you know, the actual parks...
FuNfReaK22 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Awesome! I like the idea of the "3 parks in 1"
coasterdude5 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Awesome! It all fits together so well. Can't wait to see more!
Rocket Rodder Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Wow. this is amazing! It all looks so beautiful! :O I can't wait to see more.
coasterfreak101 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 WoW  That looks really nice, alot of work can be seen in it. One question, are you going to color code the 3 parks or anything? And just a suggestion, maybe a small waterpark (non functioning slides, just with a start and end) would be cool at a resort
BiCoastal Kid Posted December 21, 2005 Author Posted December 21, 2005 ^I'm glad somebody noticed that. Yes, the main paths help differ between the three seperate parks. Green was an obvious choice for Forests, I chose the cobbled stone-esque paths for Magic Kingdom to help with the story book type setting, The regular grey cement type path was chosen for Aquatic Worlds because I thought it looked very clean as opposed to having one of the dirt paths which would look sloppy over such a large area. The parks will have other types of paths, but the main paths will be relatively the same. I was considering having waterslides in one of the hotels. 8)
DATman Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I like the detail in this park! This is definitely a project I will follow!
coasters 4 me Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 The park looks absolutely brilliant? Did you get your idea from Universal Florida? I cant wait to download it when its finished!
BiCoastal Kid Posted December 22, 2005 Author Posted December 22, 2005 ^Actually, I got my idea more from DLR, but I could see how the connection could be made to USF. Have some glimpses, as that's all this ride is designed to give... What's that? "More jungle" you say? Oki doki... Ooooo, lush jungle. I wonder what park this is in? *rolls eyes*
coasterfreak101 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Oh! I know! It's a water coaster!!! And it is in the Animal Kingdom inspired park! Yay I can see the coaster track, and then the flume part of the ride. I feel all speshal I am good at guessing people's new coasters
BiCoastal Kid Posted February 21, 2006 Author Posted February 21, 2006 After like, a month, I finally added a few rides. I forgot to take a couple pics of the water coaster, but Ill get those next time.... untill then, have some of the other progress. Inside view. All the paths are enclosed from the action. The ride itself goes through 4 rooms, and outside up to 4. Enclosed Rolly coaster. Launched, obviously. I like to think of this as this park's Space Mountain. It's themed to boating supply factory pretty much dieing. Now to the fun parts. This is my smaller version of the crazy water ride at TDS. Note the whirlpool. I just imitated the bright colors and turns. Next up is the big expansion though... No scenery view. Not so complicated, but fun none-the-less. This is a powered coaster themed to a little train ride through the woods... it just goes faster. First, some minort work on the Disney Forests entrance plaza. Fastpass for the water coaster, some shoppes, and info booths.... more to be done, obviously.
Luxo Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Finally! Great work, I didn't even realise a coaster was hidden in that picture until I read the caption.
BiCoastal Kid Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 ^I hope you're talking about the powered coaster... cause you can see track pokin outta the other one. Anyway. Here are some pictures of the water coaster, which is themed to escaping from a diamond mine if you ahve to ask. Also, a hotel has been added. "The Missions." Slightly inspired architecture, mixed with some natural elements. It also features a small parking structure, haha. I know everybody is gonna complain about the proportions, but really, RCT's proportions are off in general so I figure mine can be a little odd. Still realistic, though. Pretty! Back view of the hotel... I added a few fences here and there, so this isnt exactly up-to-date. See? Even the station/queue blends in. Inside view? Yes please. Wooo, hidden in trees.
l3ite_me1313 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I have said this before. Nice looking park in ITSELF. But the stations ad themeing are just all block. Try to add detail in the Acrch.
