WOF_Fan Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I visited Fright Fest for the first time last weekend and it was a disappointment. For the price we paid for the haunted attraction pass and the entertainment or lack there of. It just didn't have the same feel as a Haunt at a legacy Cedar Fair park. The mazes had viritually no actors. They had no cohesive theme to them. The masks, instead of makeup and special effects. It was just a disappointment. Living in Central Missouri, we were excited to have another option relatively close by.
Danrarbc Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Fright Fest can be good at other Legacy Six Flags parks - don't take this version as an indictment of the others. I genuinely don't know where the haunted attraction pass revenue is going if it's not going back in to the event.
prozach626 Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM It's nice to hear about upgraded entertainment, but that's pretty disposable, isn't it? I think a reason to sleep more soundly would be the announcement of a new attraction. Those are just my thoughts. So that's the standard now? We've finally hit, "let's just hope we stay open."?? I remember when a hyper was on our wish list. This is exactly the shit I've been talking about over the years. I guess we'll just have to wait and see just how much "corporate hates out park." Granted, both chains were in trouble, despite people liking to think Six Flags is responsible for sinking the ship. But, I remember being criticized over being pessimistic (shocker, right?) about the merger. What a shit show.
thepoint4life23 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The only thing about it i didn't understand is why Cedar Fair wanted to take on that much debt . Hopefully the lower pass sales helps give them some cash and brings up in park spending for a bigger 2027 announcement list. Maybe you can take Superman from Six Flags America.
prozach626 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm curious about the cost to do that. I don't think it would be worth it, and it would require a lot of grading.
