CoasterFanatic Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Catrina, Jason and I went to the big city today to watch the Steelers take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Eventhough Maddox looked like a big pile of poop and the Steelers ended up losing in overtime, a good time was still had. Here are some random photos for y'all Catrina and a few cans of Iron City help me deal with the games unfortunate outcome. 60,000 disappointed fans make their way out of the stadium The stadium looks much better once you get some people in it. P "Ditty" sat only a few rows in front of us We got to our seats early enough to catch some of the warmups From up above you can still see people making their way to the stadium This one is for Wally. My last beer was a 16oz Iron City. The offical mass consumption beer of Pittsburgh! Jason and Catrina pose for a picture before the game From the 500 level you can get a pretty good view of the Pittsburgh skyline. The Grid Iron Grill serves up some great Bratwurst, and will be my Iron City supplier of the afternoon. The most useless thing at Heinz Field. I think every game is sold out through 2185. Jason demonstrates his superiority over Mr. Maddox. The crowds start to gather around Gate B. This is the stadium of interest today .... Heinz Field! We pass PNC Park on the way to the stadium. Not too much happens here in October. Tailgating is a big part of any Steelers home game. We got a late start today, so it is straight to the game Catrina and Jason walking through the southside
Bubba Z Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 (edited) First off, Go Broncos! Now do you see why we let Maddox go. Sorry about the loss, but at least Big Ben wears number 7. Also the view of the city and stadium are awesome. Good old Iron city beer, last time I had that was at Rod Woodsens place. Edited October 17, 2005 by Bubba Z
robbalvey Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 We saw that Maddox move while eating at Papalino's this afternoon. Had we known, we would have looked for you in the crowd. Looks like you had a good time! --Robb
SharkTums Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Nice TR! Sorry about the loss...when is Roethlisberger supposed to come back?
BelizeIt Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 (edited) Nice Trip Report! I live in Los Angeles, and had the chance to watch this game today! It was an Excellent Match! With a Dramatic Overtime Win by the Jaguars! Great Game!!! Edited October 17, 2005 by BelizeIt
Real Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Roth is overrated. However, whos even more overrated is Brady. Yup, hes been cash money this year /end sarcasm.
CoasterFanatic Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 when is Roethlisberger supposed to come back? He should be back next week for the game in Cincinnati. He was suited up today and listed as the number 3 guy. Roth is the REAL Deal!
Meteornotes Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Roth kicks ass! I knew the Steelers were doomed when Maddox took the field. I think the Steelers is the team we're going to try to catch on our "go to one out of town NFL game a year" trip next year. We did Green Bay a few weeks ago, which was amazing. I need to post the pictures at some point... dt
Hattuchili Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Nice photo TR, Ted. It looks like you had a good time! Thanks for posting. --Sören

FlyingScooter Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 I Don't care if they lost, I still like the STeelers! Browns suck! <-----yeah, so I'm from Cleveland. GO STEELERS!
c0sterfreek Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Great update since im a Steelers fan and all. I’m coming out there soon and get to see my first Steelers’s game. Can’t wait for that. I think I’m the only one who has a official terrible towel and an official Steelers jersey in California (90% of my family lives out there so I can get all the steeler things I want ). Thanks again for the update! <-----Yeah, so I'm from California. GO STEELERS!
Guest Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 I am glad I was at work, otherwise I would have had a broken TV set. Ted you should have told me you all were in the burgh could have met you from some after game food and mega beer. Big Ben is awesome, he is Pittsburgh's savior, and has proven that. It is his sophomore year, and after the amazing one last year, mistakes do happen. Thanks for the TR Ted, and how on god's green earth did you get tickets? lmao! Katie, who thinks the Stillas are gonna whoop some serious ass on the bungals next week.

Ted you should have told me you all were in the burgh could have met you from some after game food and mega beer. If I told you everytime that I was in Pittsburgh, then I would be calling everyday. I work in Wexford
Guest Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Well you know what I mean, LOL. You work in Wexford? I thought it was further south then that. My Aunt lives in Cranberry. GO STILLAS! Katie
CoasterEricHP Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Great TR! I walk under that "tailgating" bridge and by PNC on my way to class at the Art Institute. I can't believe they lost though.. Between that and the AWFUL PSU loss on Sat.. it was a very bad weekend. Eric
