rollercoasterpics004 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Pretty self-explanatory. What theme park trips have you taken that worked really well? Anything way better than you thought, or far worse than you thought? I live in So-Cal, so California trips are out of the question for me.
Henry M Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 My trip to liseberg was the best of my life. I would highly recommend it!
michaellynn4 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 My 2013 trip was a lot of fun (aside from learning right before heading to Cedar Point that my now ex-fiance was cheating on me...but that's another story): Hersheypark -> Kennywood -> Kings Island -> Holiday World -> SFStL -> SFGAm -> Cedar Point -> impromptu stop at Dorney on way home. I think there's something inherently romantic (ironic, right?) about doing a road trip across a part of America, so I'm always in favor of just taking the car out and driving.
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Our Kings Island -> Cedar Point trip last year was amazing. Everything was planned so well, and we were so prepared for the trip that everything jus to worked perfectly. We started planning the same trip for this coming summer when we were driving home fromantic Cedar Point! By far the best trip we have ever taken.
VF15 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I also made a trip to Kings Island and Cedar Point trip this past summer that was very successful. Other than Top Thrill Dragster frequently breaking down, the trip was wonderful. I had a blast at both parks, and my coaster count received a substantial boost.
bert425 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Since I've been a member here, we've done two great trips that I planned, and I posted Trip reports about. Warning, I type a LOT, and we like to mix culture with our Theme Park trips. 1st, in 2014. we flew into Pittsburgh, and rented a car, hitting: Kennywood, Hersheypark, Knoebel's and Dorney, before spending a couple of days immersing ourselves in Philadelphia's museums and history: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=68306&p=1463703#p1463703 Then this past June, we flew into Washington, DC, and spent 3 days in Busch Gardens Williamsburg/Colonial Williamsburg, before hitting Kings Dominion on the way back to Washington, where we spent 3 days hitting the Capitol sites, and Smithsonians. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=70573
Kyle Coleman Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I did one around the Pennsylvania area a couple years ago that was pretty great. Did dorney, knoebels, great adventure, Hershey, then flew down to Louisville and did holliwood nights and Kentucky kingdom. Was wiped when I got home but it was an awesome trip.
