PhishyBrewer Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Hey folk! Just wondering if anyone is going to be at Cedar Point October 7th and/or 9th? Karen and I will be flying into Columbus early in the morning on the Friday the 7th, and possibly hit up the park when it opens up later that day. Saturday is our day at Put-In-Bay for the Island Wine Festival, and then we’ll be back at the park all day on Sunday. Due to the amount of wine that may be consumed at Put-In-Bay, where staying in Port Clinton right near the ferry docks. No driving for us.
Chris Benvenuto Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Sorry man, I live 2 1/2 hours away, but my folks say enough for the year, no more CP!!! wish i could come and meet you and Karen. Chris

coaster1 Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Wally, heard it should be ready for Halloweekends .. so hopefully.
Real Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Its still not open but I have heard that this weekend or next it may be open. I do agree, with it down theres really only Raptor and Maggie to ride on Fridays along with Maxair and the houses. Kind of sucks. Ill see, I may be open on the 7th.
Teddymonster Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Am I the only one who's jealous of all the peeps on the West coast going on trips all the time? Having a mortgage, going to school, and having a dog pretty much drains all my funding for a good time at the park. Have a good time, Phishy! Ted "who hasn't been to a park in almost two years and is cleary bitter" Thomas
dandaman Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Count me in, Wally. I'll be at the Point on the 9th. On a side note, funcoast.com reported a news article saying they should have TTD up in a couple weeks. Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later...
Space Freak Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Im actually going to CP this saturday, but of course the people i am going with arent exactly enthusiests, so I might head down there again on my own the weekend after. This gives me incentive to meet up so I'm not there by myself. So I might be there, I might not. I have also heard that TTD might be back up as early as this weekend, but I'm not planning on it. http://www.pointbuzz.com/news.htm?id=728 Rob
PhishyBrewer Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 Uh... Point Buzz . Don't get me started.
FlyingScooter Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 We might go the 9th as well, depending on my daughters schedule: she's in marching band at school and they are always busy. We're hitting GL tonight.
Coasterlicious Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 I would so go!! now that I can drive alone, but I can get to cleveland and then I would get lost .... i dont know how to get to sandusky..
PhishyBrewer Posted October 1, 2005 Author Posted October 1, 2005 For anyone that is going to be there, I'll probably be the only dork wearing a TPR t-shirt.
dandaman Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Uh... Point Buzz . Don't get me started. Surprised they deleted your DD tribute thread?
PhishyBrewer Posted October 1, 2005 Author Posted October 1, 2005 ^I guess I shouldn't be suprised. They are a bunch of tools after all.
PhishyBrewer Posted October 2, 2005 Author Posted October 2, 2005 California has really spoiled me with it's great weather. Were going to freeze our butts off in Ohio. I'm going to bring mittens and a scarf  Forcast for Sandusky, Ohio Oct 7th-9th Fri Oct 7 Partly Cloudy 55°/39° 20% 55°F Sat Oct 8 Partly Cloudy 57°/40° 20% 57°F Sun Oct 9 Sunny 60°/45° 10% 60°F
Space Freak Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Fishy, what time were you planning on getting to the park on friday? Right when it opens at 6pm? I went yesterday, but there are still a couple coasters i didnt get to ride, so i would like to go again before I leave cleveland in 2 weeks. Rob
PhishyBrewer Posted October 2, 2005 Author Posted October 2, 2005 Will be there when the park opens. I want to getsome video footage before it gets dark. Just look for the TPR shirt! And if I'm not riding rides, I'm most likely having a beer at Friday's on the beach. Earnie the bartender will tell you where I'm at. That sounds kind of sad. I know the bartender by name and he knows me. Yet, I live in California.
Space Freak Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Ok, I'll keep my eyes open for a TPR shirt dude.... Rob
dandaman Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Just look for the only guy cavorting through the park with a pitcher in hand. Yeah, the forecast looks really bad, but look on the bright side... (if it's up) TTD rollback, anyone? Heck, CP's close enough to the Great White North anyways. You darn Californians should have to go through a "freeze-your-ass-off" hazing.
