Coaster Cow
Looks like someone's gotten a hold of some waterslide patents and blueprints to me... More at the source: http://world.time.com/2013/10/17/north-koreans-splash-in-new-water-park/photo/spectators-watch-people-use-the-munsu-water-park-in-pyongyang-in-this-undated-photo-released-by-north-koreas-kcna-6/ Apologies if this shouldn't have been a unique thread, mods feel free to consolidate if necessary. cfc
Well, at least they can have a some fun before being shipped off to a gulag, or something.

DirkFunk
Could be Turkish/European built stuff. They have a park that's basically a showcase of Zamperla rides which opened up a couple years ago.
OISU8P
I wonder who manufactured the waterslides. I thought the North Korea govt really did not permit outsiders in like this. Maybe a Chinese knock off company? Oh well, maybe the meeting with Dennis Rodman loosened them up some. EDIT: ^ Saw your comment after I submitted. BelizeIt
Looks like a Kick Ass Water Park to me! I wonder who is 'allowed' to attend? Since North Korea is a Hereditary Dictatorship, do only Kim Jong Un's personal family and friends get to go? What an amazing use of a countries (((limited))) resources this is, while tens of thousands of its citizens starve death.......(Good Job Kim Jong!) The photo itself is interesting, showing a long line of people in Black Suits, working their way thru the park like a snake. (How appropriate) But I guess if you had to live this subhuman existence, then any possible fun escape would be cherished. The Alveys may never get the chance visit this park, unless the two Koreas eventually unite. (Like East and West Germany did) We can only pray and hope that one day unification will be a reality rather then a dream.
gerstlaueringvar
For our personal safety, better skip this park or we might get stuck in there for the rest of our lives unless our goverment take some action... I don't think it is a place for fun.
Jew
I just picture Kim Jong Un saying "Water Slide!" Like Napoleon in Bill and Teds.
GigaG
You know there's a problem when North Korea has a better water park than Cedar Point...
gisco
Wonder what this place will look like in a few years?
cfc
I just picture Kim Jong Un saying "Water Slide!" Like Napoleon in Bill and Teds. "Do we have enough pictures? Good! Get these people back to the re-education camp before their minds are warped by 'fun.'"
Coaster Cow
Given their massive electricity shortages, I'm guessing that "master-blaster"-type slide in the background is just for show.
cfc
^Maybe it uses a giant rubber band to shoot people over the hills.
Coaster Cow
I'm sorry to spam my own thread, but these pics (not from this water park) are so great: Kim Jung-il riding a kiddie ride. Kim Jung-un playing mini golf. Kim Jung-un pointing at a fountain. Kim Jung-un pointing at a slide. And... I can't even.
