zburns999 Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Well, the last park I was working on died so I decided to start a new one. It is a large park located on a beach on the Atlantic ocean. I hope to have about 18-20 coasters (I built this park specifically to be based off Cedar Point) in the park, but I havn't been working too long, and I'll post what I have. American Force-a 260 foot tall hyper next to the parking lot Black Powder-a Gravity Group wooden coaster with "steel" supports Atlantic Mine Ride-an old mine train coaster with quick, short drops Schwarzkopf's sp* Double Loop with American Force in the background The Shooting Star, an old side friction coaster with brakes over every hill 8) Storm, a twisted B&M stand-up Insanity is one of those coasters enthusiasts hate but GPs love. At least it accelerates faster than Superman Here is an overview of the park so far. I've still got a lot of room Please, feel free to comment and critiscize!!!
zburns999 Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Thanks for the comments. I hope to have an update soon.
Hattuchili Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 What I see till now is really nice. I like your park. --Sören
pvcoasterguy Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I really like Storm- a great stand-up design! Also, the wooden coaster is pretty cool.
zburns999 Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 I didn't have much time tonight, so I built a new coaster called Hayawani (means beast in Swahili language). It's 200 feet tall and would be awesome in real life. Here are some pics. Here you can see most of the layout. The station In front of the station you can see the air-time filled finish. That's all for now. Fell free to comment and critiscize.
coasters 4 me Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Very nice park. Really like the last coaster. Looks really good. Keep it up!
coasterguy618 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Looks like a really great park! I really like the woodie Black Powder and i like the intamin hyper Hayawani. Good Job!
zburns999 Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 . I have some bad news. It seems as though I just was not supposed to build this park. Things have gone totally down-hill since I built Hyawani. I put in RCT2 planninng on expanding A LOT, and here is what happened...First, people just started getting smushed up on paths and I won an award for the park with the most confusing layout. I tried to go around and make all paths just one wide (taking away from realism, but helping guests) and while I was doing that, the breaks on the Shooting Star failed and 24 people died. I first thought, "Eh, whatever," but then I realized I would have to re-track the whole ride in order for it to be safe, and even if I did, the guests would refuse to ride it, so after my stress levels reached a record high, I called it quits. Sorry. I have learned two things from this. Never again build a side-friction coaster and always build paths ONE wide. Ok, there is some good news (no, I didn't save money on my car insurance). Before this park I built another park called Burns's (thats my last name ) Family Amusement Park. I never bothered to post it anywhere, but as I think of it now, the park was a totally awesome Knoebels inspired park with two awesome woodies. I think I will post pics. Would anyone like to see them?
DATman Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Sure, why not and if you retrack/rename/repaint it differently, they wont know that it crashed-im used to do that all the time
zburns999 Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 Hmmm. Maybe I'll try that sometime. Oh, I am going to post Burns's (I was probably gonna post it even if people said no )
zburns999 Posted September 24, 2005 Author Posted September 24, 2005 Ok, I posted some pics of it. For some reason I thought there were more than that. Oh well, the coasters and good rides are there, but the river rapids and "Tidal Wave" sort of ride are not in any screens except the overview.
ScOtT k Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Sure, why not and if you retrack/rename/repaint it differently, they wont know that it crashed-im used to do that all the time Or you could just save the track design, demolish the coaster, and buy the coaster again. I do it whenever a coaster crashes. Works perfectly!!
zburns999 Posted September 24, 2005 Author Posted September 24, 2005 Sounds good, Maybe this park isn't done afterall.
