NEWS: Free Summer concerts at CityWalk Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood has sent us a press release regarding a free concert taking place tomorrow in CityWalk.

 

Universal CityWalk’s “5 Towers” concert venue to feature a FREE live concert by breakout pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen.

 

“Call Me Maybe” co-written by Jepsen, has sold over 700K singles in the US in just 6 weeks and is climbing the iTunes chart, already cracking the Top 5. The Canadian-born singer/songwriter is poised for stardom after signing to Schoolboy Records/Interscope run by Scooter Braun and multi-platinum Schoolboy/RMBG/IDJ artist Justin Bieber.

 

Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” received an additional boost with a homemade viral video featuring Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and other young stars who filmed themselves lip-synching and dancing to the song. The video racked up a million views in 24 hours and has gone on to earn over 28 million views on YouTube.

 

The first 400 customers to purchase Carly Rae Jepsen’s new single, “Call Me Maybe” on site will receive a wristband for a CD signing following the performance.

Though I'm a little late at posting it, Universal Studios Hollywood has sent us a press release regarding their lineup of free Summer concerts at CityWalk Hollywood.

announces the kickoff to its summer lineup with non-stop live entertainment every weekend through Labor Day featuring music and entertainment’s top emerging talent, LA’s hottest club and radio DJs, next-generation dance crews, and chart-topping recording artists. Confirmed to make a special appearance, Hollywood’s most noted gossip columnist and TV personality, PEREZ HILTON, will introduce A&M/Octone Recording Artist KAT GRAHAM from the hit series, “The Vampire Diaries,” to perform her hit single, ‘Put Your Graffiti On Me’ and other tracks from her new EP this Friday, June 8 at 8pm, at the “5 Towers” concert venue.

This summer, live street entertainment is anchored by themed lineups at “5 Towers” every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a diverse and eclectic offering of music and artists.
