thrillrider Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 With the retracking they have been doing the last few seasons, I doubt that it will be going anywhere soon. I really don't care much for mean streak. It has a boring layout, and it has no airtime to speak of. Not to mention that it bashes your brains out when you ride it.
thrillrider Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 Here are the last of the pictures of the winter tour. Wildcat Our tour guide Amy and kate Maxair all shrink wrapped I think these are the palm trees that are near the front of the park at hurricane hannas No bumping today This is the shed where the halloweekends parade floats are stored. This is what it looks like behind the main midway games area. If you like lung cancer, this is the place you want to be. Raptors mid course A close up look at one of raptors strobe lights Low bridge This area will have something to do with the new night time show this summer. I thing the spot on the left "was" Kinzles parking spot. The top of raptors train Not sure what this is for....any ideas? Mantis takes up two parking spots. You can see witches wheel A view from the other side Blue streaks station Mine rides trains are stored in the front of the park. That's it for this winters update. Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
DJeXeL Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I'm thinking something to do with TTD but can't figure out what exactly.........most likely something in the Hydraulic room.
coasternut Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I'm following John H. the G.M. on Twitter, and he posted the other day, that Blue Streak is getting a fresh coast of light blue paint. That's definitely needed. It's one of my favs at the park. Lots of fun and airtime for 76'.
kunpc1 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 They did a great job with the new white LED lights a couple years back and this new coat of paint will make it look that much better.
thrillrider Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 I think the new iron dragon midway will look amazing this year as well. Can't wait to see it.
Brandy524 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I love seeing pictures of parks in the off season! Thanks for sharing!
-Edge of Beast- Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Awesome photos man! It's weird seeing the park in its winter stage.
thrillrider Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 It's kinda erie walking thru the park in the winter. There is no music, no cotton candy smells, no people, and no lights.
99er Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 ^You should try doing it at night. Whole other world then.
thrillrider Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 I used to work at the park, and it is VERY erie at night. Total opposite of the daytime. You can hear every little thing.
mark549 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I used to work at the park, and it is VERY erie at night. Total opposite of the daytime. You can hear every little thing. It's eerie by Lake Erie.
Myself Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I used to work at the park, and it is VERY erie at night. Total opposite of the daytime. You can hear every little thing. EDIT: Beat me to it!
Double0Kevin Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Every theme park is a little creepy at night when no one is there.
