Coney Island "Cyclone"

Just curious; I looked through the pics and DVDs, and I didn't see it listed anywhere.

Been on it, but not for many, many years. I think the last time I was on it was 1998 or so. Before we started taking video, and back then I wasn't taking as many photos.

My parents have friends in new York and we usually have been going there every other 2 years.

I've been on the Georgia Cyclone, the mirrored clone of the original. It was a great ride, but I would not plan a trip as far away as Coney Island to ride the Cyclone. I'd prefer to go to parks where I don't have to pay per ride. Doesn't it cost something like $5 to ride it?

Yeah 5 bucks a pop. Incredibly overrated. Taer it down...

The Cyclone may be 5 bucks, and it does bang around a bit, but cmon ... it's a piece of Americana. I always likened the Cyclone as sort of a "pilgrimage" for the coaster enthusiast.

 

The first time you step off that train and see it in person ... wow!

Rode it on 27th Aug this year, at front middle and back. Front was amazing, back almost killed me, I've never been thrown about so much!

It's pure pain in the back, but for some reason I just kept getting back in line for it.

 

Prices : $21 wristband $5 for one ride and $4 for a re-ride
