A.J.
That's fine, but please do not create new topics for each one - you can put more than one picture in a single reply.
jscott1234
Roller Coaster Models Thank you everyone for the comments, as you can see the progress, i am constructing the entire Cedar Point Amusement Park!! All of the models you see here are in HO scale and have been completely constructed by hand. This is not a kit in anyway shape or form! i purchase all materials from my local arts and crafts store and some materials from at home depot. ABOUT MY HISTORY I was extremely fascinated by roller coasters ever since i was a young child! growing up in my earlier years i was able to get my hands on pretty much anything and everything that was build able such as Legos, Knex, erector sets, etc. At around the age of 13 years old i then started to build and create my own models. i started making roller coasters out of Popsicle sticks and other various materials. Since i love Cedar Point i thought " what the heck" why not build the best Amusement rides in the world and take roller coaster model building to the next level! so i then started thinking to my self, how on earth am i going to make these rides? they are very complex and can be quite complicated especially keeping in mind that everything is going to be build from scratch and i was starting from ground zero of nothingness!! To get each model to perfection i print off various pictures from the internet, since i don't have blue prints. Now i know this might sound kind of geeky but i actually sit down and study all of the pictures for many hours! I pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO ALL details so its critical to make sure that i study all of the angles, hills, loops, footings, station, queue lines and all landscapes. After taking several notes its then time to run off the the art store to get supplies! JJ728
These look so cool! Is the blue sky background actually there, or is it photoshopped in or something?

VinTheAttendant
What did you use to make the Raptor train? It almost looks like it was conjured up in Solidworks and put through a machine! Great stuff!

DougMJr
Great job! The power tower model seems super realistic to me. How long does it take you to each model?

accelerate
As dissapointed as we all are, TTD doesn't have an overbank or airtime hill, as yours does. Everything else is uncannily realistic! can the trains move along the track? Or am I just crazy when I saw the Raptor train move ?

You do realize that the TTD model was based on the fan art when the ride was first announced.

jscott1234
This HO scale model roller coaster was completely created from scratch. I use several different types of materials to create this model! however it is still incomplete at the moment! the model might not look like a lot of work to make but let me tell you people, it takes days of planning and weeks, sometimes even months of building. This particular model has taken me one month to create so far and about another 2 weeks to complete! To make sure i get the model just right, i study the roller coaster by u sing a series of pictures i obtain from the internet. Studying the pictures mean that i look at all angles, loops, hills, footings, curves, station location, queue line ups and all landscapes. When trying to reach the goal of perfection, making any mistake could cost me hours of rebuilding and a nice hit to my bank account so its very important i get i t right the first time! However so far this model has turned out the way i wanted it! If you have any questions regarding my models, please send me a message!
