I learned from TPR that captive Great Whites are a rarity, so this seems to be a unique opportunity.

Monterey Bay will obtain a great white every once and a while. I do not remember if it was last year or the year before, but I made pilgrimage to see the almighty fish only to discover they had released it 3 days before. There is no telling how long they will keep it in captivity. They only hold it for along as the shark does not become aggressive towards the other fish, and so long as it remains healthy.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is great and is my favorite aquarium of the ones I've been to (Monterey Bay, Aquarium of the Pacific (Long Beach), L'Aquarium Barcelona, Maui Ocean Center, aquarium at California Academy of Sciences (San Francisco), aquarium exhibits at Sea World San Diego, aquarium exhibits at Six Flags Marine World, Morro Bay Aquarium (sad and pathetic)).

Pretty cool and a time waster watching and waiting for the sharks to swim by!

In about 4 minutes they're doing a show on the otter cam... just use the drop down bar and watch otter tricks... awww.

That's the coolest web cam of all time. There is a big Mola Mola in there as well as a Mahi Mahi. Bluefin tuna have to be one of the most perfect animals on earth. Thanks for sharing this.

This is a great aquarium, I've been there a couple times. I'll have to come back when the web cams are all live.
