Spartan0228 Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I'm going to Six Flags Over Texas next weekend, and I was wondering if you guys had any tips for me. I really want to get as many rides as possible on Texas Giant and Titan. Thanks
Spartan0228 Posted July 10, 2011 Author Posted July 10, 2011 I'm going on Sunday. And how much do the Q-Bots cost?
chadster Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Flashpass pricing is on their website. Expect heavy crowds during the middle of the day on Sunday, tapering off the last hour or two which is when NTAG should have the lightest line. Note that the flash pass is not good for Runaway Mountain, Judge, or Shockwave. With the later two really not needing it. The FP is a must for Batman, Freeze, Titan, Tony Hawk/Big Spin/Panda and the water rides. It's also very useful on Superman. Plat gets you one ride on NTAG and double rides on the others except for Titan, but all you have to do there is walk back thru the FP entrance. Season Pass get's $10 off. Other than that, just hang a left when you enter the park, it'll take you to where you want to go. (Flash pass office and NTAG/Titan)
downunder Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 ^Just to clarify, does platinum get you one ride for the whole day on NTAG, no repeat single rides? For one person (extra for more people): Regular $39.00 Gold $64.00 Platinum $89.00
Spartan0228 Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Do I need to buy a flash pass for everyone in the group or can we all share one?
chadster Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 ^ Yes, a single ride. You can have a single "bot" but need to pay for everyone.
downunder Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Do I need to buy a flash pass for everyone in the group or can we all share one? You can have up to 6 people on the 1 Flash Pass, each additional person costs extra on the single person rate: Regular: each extra person is $24 on top of the single $39 Gold: $41 Platinum: $66 So getting a Platinum for 2 people would be $89 for person 1 and $66 for person 2, total $155.00
Spartan0228 Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Alright, well I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay that much, there's 3 of us coming. What do the regular and gold q-bots do?
downunder Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Gold gives you about a quarter of the wait of the Regular, so when you book a ride you get a time to go there. So if the regular gives you a time to get on the ride that's 40 minutes later, then Gold would be something like 10 minutes later.
Spartan0228 Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Okay, last question just to clarify. So if I get a regular do I still get to ride all the rides I would with a platinum, just with a wait? And thanks for all the help guys, this has really helped clear things up.
downunder Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 ^All the same rides, except you get 1 ride on NTAG with platinum. The big difference with platinum is that with most of the rides, you get to ride twice. I'm not sure exactly how it works, whether you disembark the train and get back on or you just sit there and go again. Platinum may have even less waiting than gold as well but I'm not sure about that. So every time you book a ride you get a double lap on platinum, as noted before you only get 1 lap with Titan. With Texas Giant you only get 1 ride a day but all other rides you can book them as many times as you want. I'm going to SFOT the weekend after next for the first time, so I'll be investing in a Platinum on my first full park day on the Sunday.
chadster Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 ^ They will give you a Plat wristband to go with your Plat colored FP that you show to the ride op. They will then allow you to stay in the same seat for your second ride. If you are lucky, they will forget you had your second ride
dixiestud15 Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I'm goin Friday with a friend and have a question: Is there a spot for us to be dropped off and not have to pay $18-$20 to park?
