grrt Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 (edited) Really liking the park! Has a great atmosphere to it. As for the Schwarzkopf, I recall somebody making Zonga, Taz, whatever... and for the lift merging with the Junior track and using the curved transport pieces. I do believe that is what the actual Schwarzkopf lifts are like. Maybe try something like that? Edited May 15, 2011 by QueerRudie
QueerRudie Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Much better- Anton is happy again! I'll post up a few of my Schwarzkopf Clones to the exchange this week- as I've got a few of His- and a few of my own design- it's taken forever to do, but I think I've got decent ncs/nohack Schwarzkopfs in my arsenal! R.D.

R.D. Awesome, Can't wait! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ As you guys can undoubtably tell, we've been busy this weekend! CDI is proud to announce the opening of their second coaster over 200ft, and the first hypercoaster at Discovery Isle, Tradewinds! (Designed by Giovanola) The first loaded train departs the station. After opening, word spread quickly, over 600 guests were heading there at once. The coaster is one of the park's fastest and most exciting. This picture is becoming iconic to the image of Discovery Isle. Tradewinds maxes out at around 85mph! Beautiful turnarounds. This coaster is the most popular "event" since the opening of The Seaport and Cyan Cove. In other events, Topsail Island children's paradise has finally obtained a new ride, a Vekoma Junior Shuttle! I hope you guys enjoy Tradewinds as much as both the guests and I do.
Ace Of Spades Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Tradewinds= Same with all the other updates. Love the direction this park is taking CC9!
B.A.B Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I love that new roller coaster. I also love the queue because,I think it is well detailed and theme well. Great job CC9.
CoasterCreator9 Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 The Extreme Zone, where new concepts and high excitement come together. (Note: The Extreme Zone would sort of be like a Cedar Fair Challenge Park, minus the seperate admission.)
braztaz Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 The only thing I don't like is the awkward-looking cobra roll. Different types of transition combinations don't work too well together, I think maybe one piece of straight track inbetween the two half-corkscrews would work, or making sure the loops have opposite directions, like right large half loop goes with left large half loop.

I might go with the single straight track piece, but the loops angling toward each other is part of the design. All rides seen in the previous update are fictional concept, yet possible, designs that could work. (Well, minus the Roto-Drop.)
CoasterCreator9 Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Today marked the grand opening of Discovery Isle's Extreme Zone. The area features 3 prototypical roller coasters, and three flats. Tempest is a Maurer Sohne/Creative Designs Inc. collaboration. It is a compact, yet extremely thrilling inversion machine. It begins with a short launch section sending it up and through a cobra roll. After the cobra roll, it hits an airtime hill then a massive loop over itself. Another airtime hill and this turnaround, and it hits the brake run. The second prototype is Bird of Prey, a B&M/CDI collaboration (One of two B&M/CDIs at Discovery Isle), it is a flying shuttle coaster. In-line twist, through Tempest's loop! The reverse spike leaves riders suspended over the water. The third and final prototypical thriller is Skyrider, the other B&M/CDI collaboration. A launched B&M wingrider, with an intense layout.
braztaz Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I love Skyrider! I think it's my favorite out of the three.
RC98 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 The last time I saw this was at atari and the park consisted of a ferris wheel on a hill. This is definitely turning into one of your greats!
paradisecoaster Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Skyrider is reminding me of the schwarzkopf loopers (olympia model)
CoasterCreator9 Posted June 2, 2011 Author Posted June 2, 2011 Okay guys, you can expectvery few updates until around June 11th, when I get out of school! (Finals next week+ValleyFair trip on the 10th). Let the speculation of what is to come begin!
