robbalvey Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Hey everyone, I'm looking into converting some TPR videos over to the iPad and I'm wondering what programs some of our TPR iPad users have tried out already. I'd need to take an HD .MP4 file (1920x1080) and convert it to a pretty high quality looking iPad video. I've been using Handbrake for my iPod/iPhone videos and have been very happy with the results. Any suggestions for iPad? Thank you! --Robb Edited November 5, 2010 by robbalvey
Wes Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I've used this, it's essentially idiot proof. http://www.iskysoft.com/imedia-converter-mac.html
Angry_Gumball Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Being in a video transfer and conversion company, I've tried a handful of stuff. iSkySoft's a good one (Converter Ultimate), AVS sucks, and Adobe Media Encoder CS4 I also frequently use with great results.
jedimaster1227 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I use the Wondershare Video Converter both for my Mac and for PC. It does wonders, including with the high definition formats that you use.
Chroniq Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I've used handbrake, wondershare, and imedia... If you are specifically looking for ipad conversions, imedia has ipad resolution and aspect ratio defaults. Wondershare is quicker (for me) with encoding but you would have set everything manually. Handbrake is awesome for ripping manufactured dvds but is kinda clunky for other uses. So I vote for iMedia unless wondershare was updated with presets.
Saldek Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I use iSkysoft Video Convertor for Mac for my iPad and it works fine. I haven't tried any others though.
robbalvey Posted November 6, 2010 Author Posted November 6, 2010 If there are any of our iPad users online that want to help me test something, please drop me an IM on AIM or FB. --Robb
zisel Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Since I saw "iFunia ipad video converter" on applethoughts. I tried iFunia at once. . This video converter is good enough for use. You can see some easy guides are sleeping at the bottom of iFunia site. (p.s. "how-to")
jray21 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 A little late, but I also use iskysoft (works good), toast titanium 10 (works really good), and xilisoft (works good). I'd be willing to test/help out if it's not too late!
Nrthwnd Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Oops. I take back the "report" of... (Honestly, to me, it immediately looked like the thread did not belong here. My bad.)
