Toy Story Playland - New at Disneyland Paris

Just back from the pass holders preview for Toy Story Playland at the Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris.

It has become a really beautifull new extension for the Studios, nice attractions and great theming, here are the pictures.

At the entrance is a very big Buzz Lightyear

The area turned out pretty nice after all..

The only bad thing is the horrible cover up of Gusteau's face on the arch.. They should have left it as it was.

Great trip report. I think this looks like a good addition to the park. Hopefully someday I'll get out to Paris. I wouldn't mind seeing Disney's Hollywood Studios adding this area in Florida.

I'm taking my first trip to the DLP resort on September 3rd and was worried this land might not be open.

 

Did you get chance to go on all of rides? What was the weather like during your visit?

These were previews and because of that not too crowded, now it's crowded since it's open since 17-08-2010

The weather is not to nice at the moment, lot's of rain goin on

I still can't imagine them building a Toy Story Playland and NOT including TSMM.

 

The area looks nice, but honestly it looks like "A Bugs Land" with toy decorations instead of bug decorations.

It is a shame they didn't include TSMM. I didn't ride it when I visited MGM (yeah yeah I know...) in 2008 and it would have been good to experience it in Paris. Maybe they will add it in the future?

I think that's exactly where the concept does go wrong. TSMM should be the center of the "land" and the other carnival-esque rides should be the added bonus. Paris and Hong Kong clearly did not include TSMM because of budget. Reminds me a lot of Bugs Land at DCA. Visually well executed, but the actual rides aren't really high on the entertainment scale. Kind of a patch until the big budget ride shows up. Ideally, in the future, wherever there is a TSMM, Toy Story Land should be incorporated into the area and vice versa. As it appears at DLP, it is a vibrant and colorful install. The pics are quite nice too! Thanks for the video.

I know there is nothing they could do about this, but it also seems a shame that the Buzz Lightyear ride is in DLP and not Toy Story Playland.
