DBru
For the past few days, my computer has not let me access Screamscape. I can load any other site, but no matter how I go about trying to get on Screamscape, the "Firefox can't find the server at www.screamscape.com" message appears. At first, I thought the site may be down...but then I noticed that other people have been discussing rumors recently posted there, which threw that idea out the window. Has anyone else been having this problem, and/or have a solution to fix it? Thanks!
thrillerman1
That happened to me for a while when I updated my browser to IE7. Somehow it sorted itself out without me doing anything. Screamscape is working for me right now.
FeelTheFORCE
It's been working fine for me. For future reference, use this site.
DBru
Thanks for the tip! However, like I said, I was already aware that others have been able to access the site. I'm just looking for a solution to me not being able to access it.
Vekoma Fan Boy
Have you tried accessing it in a different browser?
DBru
Yes, it won't load with Firefox nor Internet Explorer.
Carnage
If you're using a router, you can try changing your DNS server? It could explain why you're having trouble with that site, but no one else is. I was having some trouble with some sites awhile back, and changed to Google's DNS severs. (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) Seemed to help my connection out. ParkTrips
^ you're assuming a 16 year old knows what a command prompt is! That's old-school
chadster
^^ this is true. Advanced Instructions: Click Start > Run type "cmd" type "ipconfig /flushdns" or, right click on desktop, hold down shift, right click mouse, release shift, select run command prompt here then type "ipconfig /flushdns"
robbalvey
Send Lance an email and find out if for some reason their server is blocking your IP. Go to this site: www.whatismyip.com and send him that information. I've found that TPR can sometimes block IP accounts for various different reasons and I have to go in and fix them. --Robb
DBru
Thanks for the advice, everyone! I actually took Carnage's tip this morning and switched to Google's public DNS server...and so far, the problem has been fixed and everything seems to be working great.
