iplf
For my trip to the USA this summer, I was about to buy 2 tickets for Kings Dominion. However, apparantly I cannot order them with a creditcard that's registered on a Belgian address. I contacted KD Guest Services and they confirmed this problem. They also suggested to ask someone in the USA to help me out. So, right now I'm asking if someone would be willing to order those tickets for me. I can Paypal you the money (+ some extra) in advance. The total would be 70 USD, and Paypalcosts would be about 3 USD according to my calculations. I'd really appreciate it if someone would be willing to help me out. However, if this topic is not allowed, I'd understand it, because technically I'm asking someone to do a payment for me and there are options to scam each other. If you'd like to help me out, please post here, or PM and then we'll work things out. Thanks in advance
FeelTheFORCE
You could always just buy them at the gate. If you're worried about the increased cost, just go around to some local grocery stores, McDonalds, Burger Kings, etc. beforehand in search for coupons. iplf
You could always just buy them at the gate. If you're worried about the increased cost, just go around to some local grocery stores, McDonalds, Burger Kings, etc. beforehand in search for coupons. I bought some SFMM coupons (for like 2 USD) on Ebay last year and it worked like a charm, but I don't see any KD (or BGW) coupons online right now, so I'm not too sure if they exist or not. If someone could link me up with something, that'd be appreciated as well.
FeelTheFORCE
If you're staying in a hotel, you could always ask them where to find coupons. Sometimes hotels even sell discounted tickets. Even if you aren't, you could always just stop in the closest one and still just ask.
downunder
This is something that really irritates me about Cedar Fair (though I haven't tried Six Flags yet) that they won't let us scumbag non North Americans buy tickets. I had the same problem with buying Knott's Scary Farm Tickets last year. In the end I had to buy tickets through Ticketmaster at an inflated rate plus booking fee. I checked Ticketmaster and they are only selling tickets for events at Kings Dominion, so no cigar there. The funny thing is I had no problems buying accomodation as Hotel Breakers for a Cedar Point visit but that must operate on a separate system. jamesdillaman
Seriously, just buy them at the gate if you're worried about it. It isn't like they're going to "sell out" or anything, and the fees and value of the time you'd spend figuring this out aren't worth the money you'd save by buying them in advance. As stated, too, you could always ask TPR members if there are any coupons circulating around the park, and you could even arrange someone to send you a coupon and then purchase tickets at the gate. I think a lot of people will be leery of your paypal proposal as there are many scams involving similar situations. Not calling you a scammer, just FYI... nitrofan
I'm not sure if King's Dominion does this, but Carowinds has a list of partner hotels on their website that offer park packages. You will have to check them all, but some of them are great deals.
Der Der Dongt
Since we are already talking about coupons in that area, does anyone know where I could find some for Busch Gardens Europe?
WildStangAlex
^Try the entertainment book. Busch doesn't offer many coupons. But if you go before May 16, you get a week of BG for $61 on their website.
Noxegon
Don't get me started on Ticketmaster. I'm a fairly regular visitor to New York, and I like to go to broadway shows while there. Ticketmaster has the nerve to charge me a "box office collection fee" - it's impossible for me to do print at home with an Irish credit card - and they say that I must collect an hour before the show or my tickets can be sold on. In short, I end up having to turn up at the venue an hour early and get charged for the privilege. These days I only go to Telecharge.com shows - which allow print at home for international users.
