NEWS: American Adventures closed until further notice

The formerly Six Flags-run family entertainment center, American Adventures in Marietta, Georgia has released a very brief statement on their website announcing their closure until further notice.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be closed until further notice. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

 

It is a shame to see a place like this close, but if it doesn't reopen, I'm sure the old rides will find new homes in parks around the world... The glass is always half full.

We saw this park when we visited White Water, but didn't bother going in. Looked cute, like an Adventure City. Basically a birthday party type park for smaller children.

 

Wonder what's going on. Perhaps it should just not be year round?

I wouldn't freak just yet. I think some of the park is open year round so who knows they may just be doing some work to the part that is open. Now if it says closed indefinitely than I would worry....

Wow, that sucks. I was born in & grew up in Marietta, so I used to go there often.

Glad I got the credit last year. It was a nice little area in the woods but if their operating season looked anything like it did the day we were there, no wonder they closed. It was pretty much a ghost town when we visited.
