I don't really keep track of what I drink either. I just like trying new stuff and going back to the ones that I really like. What I have in the fridge kind of fluctuates. I don't like to keep a ton in there because I just never know when I'll have time to drink it.

Like Derek, I live in PA but work in Maryland, which has much more liberal laws about how you can buy your beer. Down the street from my work, I have a pretty kick ass liquor store which meets all of my 6-pack and singles needs. I still do buy by the case though and sometimes split it with one of my friends or my brother-in-law.

Finally, the last two beers of Christmas....

The Mad Elf by Troegs. I had heard that the Trogner Bros had tweeked this years recipe and it does taste a little more "accessible" than previous years. Still my favorite holiday brew.

The only foreigner on the list. Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome Ale.

Tonight I was feeling like a lighter beer (ok, actually I just reached into the fridge and pulled out whatever). I happened upon Stoudt's Gold Lager. It was very easy to drink but had little after flavor. I'd rate it higher than some other stuff like Heineken, Rolling Rock, Yuengling, etc, but no Sam Adams Boston Lager.

At least he seemed somewhat satisfied with me. See you in that great keg in the sky, ma!

Tonight I had a mudslide and some good conversation with my friend Elbisa... but no pictures. alas!

It's funny how two people from totally different places and cultures can be so similar... she's from Bosnia, and we have so much in common and are very much alike, down to the shoe size!

^^^Yes, those are gnomes on my shirt. Got it in Vegas at the Venetian's David and Goliath Stupid Factory store. Under the gnomes it says "chillin' with my gnomies"

Wally would be proud, had my first Paulaner Hefe tonight......pretty good in fact. Found it at "Beverages 'N More", a local store that wound up pretty much being one big booze store.......I was naiive enough to just think they had funky sodas and stuff, but was in for a big surprise starting with the "No one under 21 unless accompanied by an adult" sign on the front door. Turns out, they have a literal butt load of the Hefe 16oz bottles, 'bout $2.50 for one too.....not sure about the 6-pack. Oh, and sorry for being a total retard on this, but what are the lemons for with the Hefe? My grandma's got a lemon tree, so we got all the stinking lemons we want.

I also had a Monty Python Holy Ale, it was "meh" or "okay" at best.....prob. should have had it with a meal or before I was tired. Oh well, the label was really cool, and as long as it supports Monty Python (especially the Holy Grail), I'm for it!

Oh yeah, and it's the first place in town that has actually had Beamish, I'm seriously thinking about picking up one of the 4 pack of pints next week for the mini Palm Springs vacation......

Had a bottle of the Holiday Golden Lager after a hard night of work. Gee, you think by looking at this picture you could tell where I work?

I need to check out the Penn Brewery. Last time we were out at Pittsburgh over Labor Day, we were going to stop but instead checked out The Red Star Brew Pub in Greensburg. Does the Penn Brewery have a pretty good atmosphere? It looks pretty decent from their site.

Anyway, had one of my absolutely favorite beers tonight. The Dreamweaver Wheat from Troegs. It's awesome that they are finally bottling this. Although I think I'll still fill up the old growler tomorrow.

Yesterday I had some champagne at work! My boss had a good one. We drink champagne every year before Xmas on the last day at work, or better said on the last 2 days before Xmas!

Yeah, quite good, and not too expensive at $2.50 a 16oz pop. They have a TON of it too, had to be at least 25 or so individual bottles on the shelf at a quick glance.......don't know why your places always sell out of it Wally, seems "Beverages 'N More" is set for quite a while and not even the holidays put a dent in it.

I'm upset though, Soren didn't even acknowledge my first Hefe, maybe it's the champagne he got into at work.

Last night was a return to my local Friday hangout. The lighting was better tonight than usual, so I managed to get some pretty good pictures with my poor camera phone. Afterwards, we changed things up a bit by living an ACErs dream.....

Is this my beer? Yes! While it may not be $1.50 for happy hour like the Miller Lite, Blind Faith is worth it!

Don't give your keys to the beer, no matter how smart he looks. Especially if he's going to talk on the cell phone the whole drive home!

So after a few drinks, we headed out to one of the best smorgasbords around. It was only 7.99 a person for what they call "Midnight Gladness". All you can eat sausage, cheesesteaks, ham, roast beef, chicken, corn, stuffing, pie, pudding, ice cream, etc. Many an ACEr would think this was Christmas, and trust me, lots of people looked like they could have been ACErs.
