Hobbesx2
I am planning to go to Busch Gardens tampa on wed. the 24 this month. How crowded can i expect it to be? Like capacity or 2 hour waits or what? I feel like it would be pretty bad there ,but i just want to check anyway. also, how much better would it be with their quiktrip thingy? by the way i feel like someone needs to set up a visiting parks advice topic, so people could just post there instead of making new topics, like this one. thanks, hobbesx2 p.s. my sister wanted me to add this:
PriestofSyrinx
First off: Busch Gardens is a great way to celebrate Festivus! Just dont get into trouble when doing the feats of strength Anywhoo: Remember! Winter in Florida= Influx of grandchildren from the north coming to see their grand parents for Festivus and Christmas. I have gone on the 23rd twice in my life, one it was crowded beyond belief! The next time it was dead, so its really hit or miss. I can guarantee you that Tampa is MUCH less crowded than Orlando during the Winter Seasons! Have a Happy Festivus!
larrygator
by the way i feel like someone needs to set up a visiting parks advice topic, so people could just post there instead of making new topics, like this one. The moderators have better things to do, like warn people about poor grammar. Consider this your warning as most of your posts follow a similar grammar deficient pattern. Robb has considered your idea with the current forum. However, if there is a generically titled thread asking for help, the thought is that not many TPR members are going to open a thread if they don't know the specific park people are currently asking about. Skycoastin Steve
I went to BGT a couple times around Christmas last year, once a few days before Christmas and on New Years. Both times were semi-crowded, but nothing horrible. You should be able to get everything done.
Hobbesx2
Thanks for the advice, that is reassuring. ^^Sorry about the bad grammar, I read about the rule but I didn't realize a few missed commas and un-capitalized I's were a big deal. SharkTums
Robb and I have gone to BGT the last two years during these 'holiday weeks'. All I can say is GET THERE BEFORE OPENING!!!! We got there (and already had passes) about 45 minutes early. They let in a tad early. We made a clockwise loop (starting with gwazi ending with Montu) Got multiple rides on SheiKra and Kumba, had to wait about 20 minutes for Montu by the time we got to that side of the park. At this point we could barely move as we headed back to the front of the park. People were pouring in like a broken dam, it was INSANE! So we got the hell out and headed to Carrabbas. Again, GET THERE EARLY and you'll get quite a few rides. Get their late and be prepared to wait.
Maverickrocks
I went last year two days before New Years Eve last year and it was very crowded. Pretty much 45 min to 2 hour waits for the coasters starting at around noon. So like Elissa said, get there early. And I recommend getting Quick Queue. It'll come in handy during the busy afternoon and evening hours.
Hobbesx2
Thanks for your advice guys, I went and had a great time. Their cool deal got me two days in the park, and I got a quick que which sped things up a lot on the second day. However, it wasn't too crowded and I could have been fine without it. Might as well do a little review: Montu=awesome. Best invert that I've been on, my #3 rollercoaster ever. Sheikra- It is much, much taller than in pictures. The scale makes it looks fairly normal sized in pictures. Kumba- very enjoyable, but not top 10 material. Rhino rally- way more fun than expected. scorpion- bleh. Cheetah chase- mice are always fun! theming- this was quite cool, it really adds to the experiance tiger exhibit- this is amazing. so cool. hippos- The underwater part is awesome, we caught them feeding and they are so funny!
