Honestly, I think the media is just latching onto this idea because it was in the news a few months ago. They tend to obsess on little things they think is new news. Sometimes, they report from a helicopter every time a lift hill at sfmm breaks down. They keep reporting it for a month, then they get over it.

The current media obsession here in LA is broken water pipes. Every time one breaks, they have all kinds of coverage on the news. Truth be told, these incidents are not on the rise or anything weird, its normal for this to happen, but all the sudden, the media found it newsworthy.

Same thing is happening at DW, I think. Anything minor that happens earns an article in the local paper. It's hard to get out of that rut, but eventually I think they will get over it. I highly doubt this power outage is anything out of the ordinary, its just suddenly something the papers can write about. I agree with Elissa, the 'customer service' was probably to get the drunks and the people who need to pee off the train.

The fat people would not want to climb down the fire ladder, so they probably stayed on the monorail

Chris.
