KrazyT Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Since I'm taking a break from my other NoLimits project at the moment, I started to mess around with a few things and came up with this design. Its an Intamin Giga coaster, very much inspired by Intimidator 305. The Stats: Length: 5315 feet. Height: 300 feet. Drop: 294 feet. Speed: 90 mph. Max Vertical Angle: 85° On with some pictures. Comments are always appreciated and encouraged. Another Angle. The Drop. The Lift.
Sasquatch Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Uh.... Wow. Are the beams reinforcing the track 3Ds or supports? It seems you have just created a completely new track type for NL! I may be keeping my eye on this!
Guest Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Uh.... Wow. Are the beams reinforcing the track 3Ds or supports? It seems you have just created a completely new track type for NL! I may be keeping my eye on this! They look like supports, you can see all the different segments if you look, there's a bunch of lines. It looks amazing though. The colors are probably the best I've ever seen Great job man, keep it up!
RCT3D Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 This is absolutely unbelievable!!! How did you make the track like that?
KrazyT Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 Thanks for all of the positive comments so far. Here is a small update showing my progress on some support work.
imawesome1124 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 This looks fantastic! Well done man, well done
OFFice357 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Are using the full version of the No Limits Construction Kit? It looks like the ties are the Classic Looping Coaster's.
KrazyT Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 Yes, I'm using the construction kit and the cross ties were made by me on the Object Creator.
Sasquatch Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Hmmm... did you use the AHG when making your track? This is looking like.... I may need a tissue
KrazyT Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 Hmmm... did you use the AHG when making your track? This is looking like.... I may need a tissue LOL! I did not use the AHG but the track is heartlined. Here is a few more pics since I redid the colors. New train color. New track color.
Twister II Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Eh...I liked the other colors MUCH better. I like these new ones better. The old colors didn't match up right, and looked awkward. These are much more subtle in the color difference.
hyyyper Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Hey Tony, I've been working on my own Intimidator-style intamin for a while now. Now I want to apply the backbone I created with object creator and the construction kit, but I ran into some problems. The nolimits program either crashes when I try import the 3ds I exported with the CK, or the 3ds put in, but invisible. Could you explain how you got yours to work?
KrazyT Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Hey Tony, I've been working on my own Intimidator-style intamin for a while now. Could you explain how you got yours to work? That's odd... I just load my track into the Construction Kit, resize my spines, and load my cross ties. Then I export it normally. I don't do anything special.
KrazyT Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Sorry for the double post. I have a quick little update. Feel free to comment. Had to rework the supports for the lift, but I finally got them the way I want. Notice catwalks have gone up as well. A few more supports have been worked on...
hyyyper Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 strange indeed, but I worked around it now, I simply cut the track in 'bite-size' pieces. and now it's working fine.
KrazyT Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 We have another update Things are finally starting to take shape... Comments are always appreciated. More supports going up. More supports going up. The brake run is almost finished.
CCJared Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 What are you using for your .3ds? Those catwalks look great!
RCT3D Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Nice job!!! this looks like it is really smooth!
Lone Rider Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 OMFG. That looks fantastic! I will be sure to follow this one closely...
