Although it's maybe not so helpful, I'd probably vote a little from column 'yes' and a little from column 'no'...

Yes : To be honest, I'll gladly buy any of the upcoming TPR DVDs as not only are they always of a truly excellent standard (and great value), but it also feels like a great way to support this great site and all of your hard work at the same time! If a Japan Raw DVD was to come out, I would buy it!

No : I'm a huge fan of the Coaster Expedition series DVDs, mainly because of the great mix of the TPR craziness as well as the top quality ride footage! That's not to say that I'm not a fan of the Raw discs, but if a Japan-only Raw DVD would potentially take the place of a Coaster Expedition series DVD, I'd (selfishly) also vote 'no' just to instead get another Coaster Expedition that might otherwise not be released...

Hope you see what I mean! Please add 1 to each column when you do the totals!

^ Robin, thanks for that. Something to note though - a release of a RAW DVD would never impact any other series we are producing. CE 13 is still set to come out before the end of this year!

Look whatever you do Robb, I'm all for it. I've been supporting this series of DVD's since they were only VHS tapes and I've loved every edition, theme or version you've made.

To be honest, there should be a DVD themed to "Crap". Hmmm.....

One of the RAW DVD's should be called something like "Crappalooza-the best of THE WORST!!!". Hey, it's a thought, but you may approve of that idea. I do.

Seeing a Japan themed one would interest me greatly, since there'd be POV's of rides I could never see for myself if I didn't get on a TPR trip or ACTUALLY travel to the nation myself to ride.

But you're the one in charge, Chief. It's up to you, and anything you put out for us I'll support. Overall love the RAW series!

While they do have some coasters I'd love to see, from what I saw from some other DVDs it looks like a lot of them are rather meh (mostly Jet Coasters). If you make one and enough people rave about it I might consider buying it, but its not at the top of my list at the moment.

Edit: After actually reading the rest of this, yeah if its slanted towards more of Asia I'd probably look into getting it. Its always cool to see some of the stuff they have over there since I won't be going anytime soon, but I'd probably need to look into getting some other DVDs to get all the ones I'd like to see.

I would love to see an all Japan RAW DVD because I don't know if I'll ever make it over there anytime soon. Also, I don't know if Japan has some crazy dark rides but if there aren't enough coaster POV's to plaster on the DVD maybe some wacked out dark rides can make the list. Just my thought but I am totally for an all Japan RAW DVD!

Hmmm. Personally, I've never been too interested in bizarre Japanese coasters, but I'm starting to see the worth in the idea. It would be a shame to have the POVs be "wasted", and it definitely does appeal to enough people to not be totally useless. I might not personally buy it, but I do think there will be enough people who will to make it worth the while.

As others have said, I'd be more interested in DVDs that covered Europe, those parks are just more my style. At the same time, I think it almost makes the most sense to have the RAW DVDs have a theme not related to area (like the defunct coasters), as these seem more likely to appeal to a broad audience. Perhaps a DVD chronicling the world's best "bizarre" coasters, which could have a lot of the Japan footage, but also other places interspersed?

One last thing: with the RAW videos, have you ever considered "outsourcing" the editing work to trusted TPR members to lighten your work load? I would think that given a set of guidelines most people could edit together the raw footage, and it might (or might not, I don't know) make it easier for you guys to make these DVDs without having to spend all your time on them.

Definitely hope this helps!
