I saw this in the KBF thread and wondered what everyone thought.

Do you think that classic "Butterfly" feeling in the stomach while going down a drop or in ejector air goes away after you've experienced it more during many coasters?

It definitely went away for me, and it's a little sad. I experienced it on my first couple of rides of the season on Raptor until about 2005, and I felt it on my first 10 or so rides on Maverick in the back seat.

Now I don't feel it on anything.

I find that after a first drop on a ride, the butterfly feeling leaves for the rest of the ride and maybe a good hour or so after that if you are not experiencing any more airtime...it just needs some time to reset itself.

Yeah, it's almost completely gone for me as well; although I get it during launches which is sort of strange. Everything else though, including the likes of El Toro, Fahreinheit or even a drop tower won't do it anymore.

I used to get it during the launch of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and ROTM. I also used to get it on WDW's TOT and those fair drop towers.

I still get it on IOA's JRPA, though. One of the only rides that still gives me the feeling.
