Retro_Gaga Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I saw this in the KBF thread and wondered what everyone thought. Do you think that classic "Butterfly" feeling in the stomach while going down a drop or in ejector air goes away after you've experienced it more during many coasters?
haux Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 It definitely went away for me, and it's a little sad. I experienced it on my first couple of rides of the season on Raptor until about 2005, and I felt it on my first 10 or so rides on Maverick in the back seat. Now I don't feel it on anything.

Angry_Gumball Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I find that after a first drop on a ride, the butterfly feeling leaves for the rest of the ride and maybe a good hour or so after that if you are not experiencing any more airtime...it just needs some time to reset itself.

Cygnus12 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Yeah, it's almost completely gone for me as well; although I get it during launches which is sort of strange. Everything else though, including the likes of El Toro, Fahreinheit or even a drop tower won't do it anymore.

RctInfinity Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I used to get it during the launch of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and ROTM. I also used to get it on WDW's TOT and those fair drop towers. I still get it on IOA's JRPA, though. One of the only rides that still gives me the feeling.
