Oh I rode the Riverside Cyclone before I knew much about this hobby in the 1980's. Boy was that a great ride.

Cyclone looked so much smaller then, especially in the 6th picture down. Not sure why, maybe because it doesn't have too much surrounding it?

I agree that for some reason the ride looks much smaller then it does today, but anyways great pictures

Nice pictures. I haven't seen pictures of this ride in a while. It just makes me want to get up to Six Flags New England. They have some great looking coasters.

Awwww! My home park! Black Widow was originally "The Loop," and it was a big deal to us, way back when!

 

Actually, my original home park was Mountain Park, in Holyoke. Anybody remember that one?

Wow cool to see some retro pics of Riverside before it became Six Flags.

Oh man, the original 3 bench PTC's. Somehow got damaged so they had to get new ones from Morgan. Those would valley all the time though so Six Flags bought new PTC's which then started to tear up the track. Poor Cyclone, it's a good coaster but the trains always suck for it.
