Stoksy
Thankyou all for the comments, they help me a lot. I think I'm getting better at making supports (fingers crossed ) so I decided to create another coaster... This new coaster is an arrow, similar to the Great American Scream Machine at SFGAd. It has a whopping 6 inversions and 15 drops. I don't want to show the whole coaster, so I made a logo, and will post a pic of the entrance... LOGO. TEASER. Mochtroid
That isn't how one would support an arrow's lift hill.
Thelegendarymatthew
Why are you using the bolts as footers on some of the supports?
Stoksy
^I will change that, thanks for notifying me. Also, on some of the supports that are closer to the ground, the support blocker is there so the main support piece is the actual base of the support. (if anyone can understand that, I'll give you a golden star ) ^^the link that you posted doesn't work. I decided to show a more updated pic of the new coaster... I quite like the themeing, even if it is slightly repetitive.
Bob!
I love the theming! Seriously, your building is really good. I hope there will be more landscaping all over the coaster itself, and it would be again a really cool thing. Good work!
Hobbesx2
^^A site full of really good RCT2 players---many of which are very stuck-up and argumentative. (From my personal observations, anyway. ) yah but we're still the coolest. so HAH. lol

Gee, thanks Bob! and yes, there will be a lot more landscaping going on around the coaster in the near future.
Thelegendarymatthew
Looks good. Just make sure those supports look good, or it may ruin it. Stoksy
Thanks again for all your helpful comments. It's been a while, but I began working on the park this weekend and have built a couple of additions for the existing rides... Now, on to the pics. Hope you enjoy the update. The entrance to the new "western" themed area. Entrance to the GCI woodie from pg 2. Now named 'Runestone'. Name might change if necessary. More of Zolar. The only reason I keep using similar trees, bushes etc. is because it's the only real 1/4 tile foliage that I've got. I did install a new ride, but it's just a tram, nothing too special. andre8
The colors of the tram station remind me of Scream at SFMM. I love the park so far!
Stoksy
Don't have much time so I'll be nice and quick. New coaster installed... GOLIATH, entrance. New idea for coaster supports. Good or bad?
BelgianGuy
I'm sorry but you'll need to practise a lot more with custom supports, can I advise using 1set per coaster and not mix 2sets of supports because it'll always look wrong if you mix it up IMO
Stoksy
^Yeah, I wasn't 100% on them, it was just another option. I didn't really plan on having those supports throughout, but it would have been nice to have a bit more variety in the support work Thanks for the comment by the way. BelgianGuy
variety in supports is not done by using different looking supports IMO but in the way you support, check real coasters, check park over at NE, I'd send you BGSA to look at some supports if you want to because in hatun, harpy and every coaster I build the supports aren't all the same or boring but there all done with the same supports
netdvn
The Good: - Zolar's scenery is amazing. - Building design is great - Love the colors The Bad: - Zolar's supports could use more work. I did see an improvement in Goliath's supports, but that's just me. Overall: - Keep up the great work.
Stoksy
I finally begun working on the park today, I have touched up Goliath (still testing support work) and have added a large river. A few pics of a testing Goliath, as well as key elements of the track. Comment and/or criticise. (If you want to ) EDIT: I just found out this was in fact my 200th post (AWESOMENESS) A new element that I added (don't know what it is LOL) Interlocking corkscrews. Pics are fuzzy, mainly because of an 'inclosed' testing day. Here you can see a small part of the river, as well as a testing Goliath ride. Stoksy
Nothing special, just some tests with supports (STILL ). I was interested to discover this in the local newspaper... Today, Stoks Co. Inc. is proud to present the general public with a new addition to their park, Sunset Hills. Rumours have spread very quickly, and Stoks Co. have been forced to announce the addition of a new coaster. This will be one of the very last rides installed before the Grand Opening of Sunset Hills in a few weeks time. Details are sketchy but rumour has it, that the new coaster is a 4D Coaster, similar to that of X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain... Completed station of the Runestone, the GCI in the 'western' area of the park. The bridge, heading into the 'western' area. Concept art for new supports of Goliath. themeparkman25
I personally really like the station on the GCI, I think it is very creative and looks well. And the station fly bad is pretty rad. There are pictures of Goliath doing loops and then there are pictures of Goliaths hammerhead, I am confused as to what kind of coaster it will be. But I think the supports are much better, good job. BelgianGuy
The woodie station looks really cool but it doesn't have that western feel to me
steel
I love love love omg love the GCI station. That is awesome.
Stoksy
The woodie station looks really cool but it doesn't have that western feel to me Completely agree (about the new area not having a western theme). The western theme was in my original plans, but after I built the station for the GCI, it changed to a 'retro/desert-with-brick-walls' theme . I still have to touch up the area, but I need a new theme , any suggestions are quite welcome. By the way, thanks for all your comments guys, they are greatly appreciated. Stoksy
I've got a quick question for you all to ponder How could I support a 4D coaster, I've got all of Toon's B&M supports, but I'm not sure if these are the right supports to use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
KPWoCkAxX
The best you can do really is to look at the supports on a real 4d coaster. THen base them off that.
BelgianGuy
If you can't make what you want with the set you use why even bother actually it has all you need. Look ot pics of X² and Eejanaika for inspiration and you schould be fine
Thelegendarymatthew
Use the B&M Supports, but for the lift, and the raven turns. Mimic what X2s supports are. Then, for the inverted parts, space out the supports a bit, because of the trains.
