dr.gumbo Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Here's a new terrain out-and-back woodie I'm working on. I'm using elementary to construct this one (a first for me) so I'm going to need some testers. So if your happy to test, either PM me or post here and I'll sent an email to you. Turn around Lift
dr.gumbo Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 ^ That was quick. lol I'll sent a PM with the download link later. EDIT: Sent, anyone else want to test?
CCJared Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I'd like to test. Also, if your looking for someone to hand support it, i'm here. I'd love to support it if the track works good enough. I need something to do cuz i'm ill.
dr.gumbo Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 ^ Wow, thanks for the offer but I'm not sure this ride is good. Hopefully it will be but I wouldn't count on it. I'll send you the file now.
dr.gumbo Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Here's a new element I made earlier today. Here's some statistics: -It's around 120' tall (from highest point to lowest). -It reaches speeds of up to 60mph plus. -It doesn't have a single company style but more of a combination of styles (but most prominently CCI). -It will be terraformed. -Hopefully it will feature some 3d tunnels and a custom environment (made by yours truly). -A lot of the ride is quite aggressive at the moment so it won't be for the faint hearted. If you have any comments/suggestions, don't be shy, just tell me.
dr.gumbo Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 I've decided on a name (as you may have noticed) and a theme which I'll reveal when I get round to finishing the layout. As for the trackwork, it's nearly done. I'll post pictures of my progress later on.
dr.gumbo Posted May 16, 2009 Author Posted May 16, 2009 ^ Thanks but I'm done with the testing. I've come to the conclusion that using elementary is MEGA boring. I haven't got much done to be honest. I've started a new hand-built track so I don't bore myself to death with this one but I will still try and finish this off, I think you all deserve something rather than another abandoned project. lol
Koolkid Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 This looks amazing !. I love the name and all the screenshots I've seen look that way aswell , can't wait to ride it
dr.gumbo Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 Okay, I've decided to finish the ride off since I'm so close to finishing it. However, I think I'm going to have a little problem with the supports since the auto-supporter doesn't work effectively. If anyone is remotely interested in helping me out here, I'd much appreciate it. If you ask nicely, I might put up another picture for you all. (See, I do try and finish projects off. lol)
coastb2 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Post a picture of what supports you need help with, and I will try to help you. I am a custom support whiz.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Okay, I've decided to finish the ride off since I'm so close to finishing it. dr.gumbo Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 ^ It does't work a in a lot of cases i.e. when the track is directly below another section of track for a substantial time. Also, it just doesn't 'look' the part sometimes.
dr.gumbo Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 Here's the photo you all asked for. Trackwork is finalised, now I'm onto the .3ds (I'll sort out the textures / supports later).
